Company Recognized For Exemplary and Innovative Efforts Across Three Product Categories

DOVER, NJ, November 8, 2006 – Casio, Inc., a leading innovator in consumer technology, has been selected to receive CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards for four of its products.  Casio’s award-winning products include the EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 and EXILIM CARD EX-S770, the XJ-S35 Super Slim Projector, and G’zOne (pronounced Jeez-Wun) Type-V cellular phone.

These prestigious annual awards are announced each year in advance of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).  The award-winning products will be on display during the CES Press Preview Show in New York City on November 8th and will also be on site at the 2007 International CES in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2007.

The Innovations 2007 Awards recognize consumer technology products that exhibit excellence in design and engineering.  Product evaluations are based on several criteria including engineering qualities, product’s intended use and functionality, unique and novel features, improvement to company, aesthetic and design qualities, and the contribution to quality of life.

“Casio is thrilled to have four products, EXILIM EX-Z1000 and EX-S770 digital cameras, XJ-S35 Super Slim Projector and G’zOne Type- V cellular phone, honored by CES Innovations, said Hideaki Terada, Chairman, Casio Inc.  “Receiving the CES 2007 Design and Engineering Awards shows us that we are achieving our goal of providing consumers with innovative products.”

The following Casio Products were selected as honorees in the Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Showcase:

EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 (MSRP $379.99)
The EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 packs a powerful punch in a sleek, compact package.  Small enough to be held in the palm of your hand or hidden easily in your shirt pocket, its 10.1 megapixel digital camera captures super high-resolution images that reproduce crystal-clear even in very large sizes – perfect for printing or on-screen viewing of those priceless, once-in-a-lifetime shots.  This new model is the first in the series to incorporate a large 2.8-inch, Wide and Bright LCD display.  Casio makes the most of this extra screen space to offer great new functions like simultaneous viewing of a wide angle and a telephoto shot – and a convenient right-side icon controls.

EXILIM CARD EX-S770 (MSRP $399.99)
The high-quality stainless steel body of the EX-S770 is the epitome of design elegance and ensures ease of operation as well, while maintaining all the slimness and beauty the EXILIM Card line is renowned for. The attractive EX-S770 shoots 7.2-megapixel still images and records high-quality movies in MPEG-4 format. The EXILIM Card EX-S770 is available in three exciting colors: silver, blazing red, and graphite blue.

XJ-S35 Super Slim Projector (MSRP $1899.99)
A road warrior must-have, the XJ-S35 is well known for its compact size (3.9lbs and 1.26” at the thinnest point) and brightness.  The XJ-S35 has a wide-angle 2X zoom lens (2000ANSI lumens) that gives it the best range of any data projector on the market – images can be projected from as close as 2.7’. The XJ-S35 offers connectivity with a wide range of data projectors, enabling image protection without a PC and the use of a USB wireless adapter. Images stored on commercially available USB memory, such as Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, can be projected without using a PC (after conversion using the bundled software).  In addition, an optionally available USB wireless adapter frees users to deliver presentations without having to stay near the projector.

G’zOne Type-V ($299.99-$349.99 - all Digital 800/1900 MHz CDMA/EVDO)
The new G’zOne (pronounced Jeez-Wun) Type-V from Casio Hitachi MC is the masterpiece of the series.  As a member of the G-Shock family the phone has been designed to survive the rigors of everyday modern life.  This rugged cellular device has passed the toughest tests and complies with several US military standards.  The G’zOne Type-V is shock and water resistant (tested for up to half an hour in depths of 1 meter), dust and vibration proof.  It is also resistant to humidity, salt fog, and solar radiation.  Main features also include a 2.0 megapixel camera for still photos and video capturing as well as an LED light.  The G’zOne’s exterior screen is designed like the face of a Casio G-Shock watch, featuring a stopwatch and countdown timer.
