CASIO LAUNCHES NEW TRADE-IN TRADE-UP PROGRAM FOR
GRAPHING CALCULATORS

Buy Any New Casio Graphing Calculator and Trade in Your Old TI for Cash!

SEPTEMBER 27, 2006, DOVER, NJ – Casio, Inc., a leading manufacturer of consumer electronics is pleased to announce the Casio Trade-In and Trade-Up Program, where educators have the opportunity to trade in their old TI Graphing Calculators for cash.   Schools are discovering that there really is a choice when it comes to graphing calculators in the classroom and Casio's graphing calculators are excellent products.  With this in mind Casio, Inc. has created a program to help ease some of the financial pressure faced by educational institutions as well as offering quality graphers at affordable prices.

“We find that many schools are ready to switch to Casio’s graphing calculators because they offer more functionality for the price,” said John Casey, General Manager of Calculators and Printing Devices for Casio, Inc.  “Casio graphing calculators are easy to use and less expensive than the competition, yet schools are still faced with the issue of what to do with their old TI units.  Due to the budgets being limited in our school systems we developed a solution with Deal Tree that allows schools to quickly and easily turn those TI units into much needed cash.”

Casio’s new program enables schools to receive money and use it towards the purchase new graphing calculators from Casio and lower their budget for replacement calculators at the same time. Casio also provides a free training program that makes it easy for schools to make the switch.

How It Works

Purchase any number of Casio graphing calculators at an authorized participating retailer. Once the calculators have been purchased, schools can go online to www.casioeducation.com and register for a Trade-In account.  After registering, simply log in to the Trade-In Center and enter the model, quantity and condition of the calculators to be traded in and the site immediately calculates the estimated trade-in value.  After all of the information is entered, the site will print a UPS mailing label to be applied to the shipment of trade in calculators.  Once Casio’s trade-in warehouse receives the calculators, along with a proof of purchase of Casio graphing calculators, a check for the value of the trade-in will be mailed within 7 days.
