New Additions to Upscale Privia Line Feature Advanced AIF Sound Source

ANAHEIM, CA, JANUARY 18, 2007 – Casio, Inc. is proud to continue its tradition of ground-breaking new products that redefine digital piano standards. The Privia line, known for combining the look and sound of a grand piano with innovative keyboard features, introduces the PX-200 and PX-800, mixing technological advances with professional sound. The new additions to the Privia series feature an innovative technology, AIF (Acoustic and Intelligent Filtering system) which boasts a brand new technique in the Stereo Sampling of the tones to greater enhance the sound experience.   The latest introductions in keyboards and digital pianos will be on display at Casio Booth #6776 at the NAMM Winter Session January 18-21 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. 

The Privia series is Casio's innovative line of digital pianos that provides authentic piano sound coupled with scaled hammer action for an exquisite grand piano feel, making it possible for people to be as inspired as if they were playing on ivory. The new AIF offers acoustic resonance which reproduces the resonant effect of a grand piano damper pedal and a powerful 2 way Bass – Reflex speaker system.

PX-200
The PX-200, releasing in March, is a brand new addition to the Privia family that caters to the Professional Piano enthusiast.  This 88 key digital piano is equipped with the tri-element AIF sound source (Acoustic and Intelligent Filtering system). The sound source provides 128 note polyphony and allows notes to reverberate naturally without being cut off during high-speed passage, giving the sound of a grand piano. The PX-200 carries a 16 watt (8w per side) sound system to effectively recreate the
sound of a Grand Piano. Additional features include:

  4. SD card slot
  5. USB and MIDI
  6. 2 extra speakers that allow for 2-way Multi Speaker Bass Reflex System

PX-800
The PX-800, releasing in March, is another brand new addition to the Privia line.  The PX-800 is equipped with the new revolutionary tri-element AIF sound source (Acoustic and Intelligent Filtering system).  The sound source provides 128 note polyphony and allows notes to reverberate naturally without being cut off during high-speed passage, giving the sound of a grand piano. The PX-800 carries a large 40 watt (20w per side) sound system to effectively recreate the sound of a Grand Piano.  A custom wood stand, 3 pedal unit is included giving the PX-800 a unique European design and elegant appearance.  Additional features include:
