CASIO ANNOUNCES TWO NEW ENTRY-LEVEL KEYBOARDS
THAT PROVIDE HOURS OF SING-ALONG FUN

___________

Compact New CTK-496 and SA-75 Starter Keyboards Make Learning Easy
and Inspire The Singer Within!

___________

DOVER, NJ, JULY 23, 2004-Casio, Inc., Dover, NJ, a keyboard leader and innovator for over 20 years, introduces two new starter keyboards designed to bring sing-along fun to music makers of all ages and levels of ability. The full-size CTK-496 and the mini SA-75 both give music lovers new options for learning the piano and singing along with the songs they can play and create.

The CTK-496 and the SA-75 will both be available in September 2004 at stores nationwide.

Casio's CTK-496 (MSRP $149.95) makes sing-along fun easier and more affordable than ever with its Sing-Along function and Mic-in terminal with a dedicated volume control. It is the only product in its price range to offer the Sing-Along feature. The 61-key, full-size keyboard offers a complete library of 100 well-known songs, ranging from easy-to-learn beginner tunes to more intricate mainstream pop hits. A full suite of 100 great sounding instrument tones and 100 rhythms offer endless options for playing along to the built-in songs or for creating your own hits.

Casio is one of the most popular brand of starter piano for budding pianists of all ages and the CTK-496 is another example why. Learning to play is as easy as 1-2-3 with Casio's patented 3-Step Lesson System and two different auto-accompaniment modes: Casio Chord, which enables play of fully formed chords with one finger; and Fingered Chord, which enables full chord play in the accompaniment range of the keyboard.

The CTK-496's large LCD Musical Information System display shows a host of information such as the song title, tempo, notes played and more via on-screen icons. Other key features include a MIDI in/out jack, a sustain pedal jack, and transpose and tuning controls. The CTK-496 uses 6 "AA" batteries or an optional AD-5 power adapter.

The new SA-75 (MSRP $69.95) is Casio's most affordable and easy-to-use keyboard in the line. This 32-note keyboard improves on previous models by adding a hands-free microphone headset and is the only keyboard in this price range to include one. Ten popular demo songs are included with a Melody Off control so you can learn to play along. Other key features include: an LCD Musical Information System read-out with a music staff that displays the notes played, icons that indicate the beat, 100 PCM instrument tones, and two built-in speakers. The SA-75 uses 5 "AA" batteries or an optional AD-1 adapter.
