Go Green Collection Environmentally Conscious G-Shock Technology

DOVER, NJ, March 09, 2010 — Casio America, Inc. proudly releases its second installment of the Limited Edition Go Green Project, an environmentally friendly series of G-Shock watch models. The collection features two new G-Shock timepieces GR7900EW-7 and G6900EW-7 with recycled paper packaging and advanced solar power technology.

Go Green Project

High gloss white bodies with evergreen accents add personality to the Go Green Project. Both GR7900EW-7 and G6900EW-7 feature advanced Self-Charging, Tough Solar Power technology in which a tiny, solar panel in the watch face combined with a large-capacity rechargeable battery enables a variety of energy-hungry functions to operate smoothly by both natural and artificial light. The result is an impressive solar timepiece that assures reliable timekeeping and greatly reduces the need for battery change. With its Shock Resistant construction and unmatched solar power function, the Go Green Project provides an accessory that embraces the philosophy of reduce, re-use recycle.

“We are thrilled to expand our Go Green Collection,” said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “G-Shock and Casio as a whole has a commitment to preserving our environment for our future generations. The Go Green timepieces offer our consumers an environmentally sound and fashion forward accessory.”

Performance driven, the GR7900EW-7 features the G-Shock hallmarks of 200M Water Resistance and Shock Resistance. Additional amenities include Tide and Moon Graph, Full Auto EL Backlight, World Time, 4 Daily Alarms, 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch, Countdown Timer and 12/24 Hr Formats.

The G6900EW-7 pays homage to the classic G-Shock DW6900 case shape with its Shock Resistance and 200M Water Resistance. Additionally, 48 City World Time, 4 Daily Alarms, Countdown Timer and 1/100 Sec Chronograph upgrade its feature set.

The Go Green Project will be available in March 2011 at Tourneau, Fashion Time, Select Macy’s and Fashion Boutiques. The GR7900EW-7 will retail for $130 while the G6900EW-7 will be available for $120. For more information visit
