LAS VEGAS, Nev., June 4, 2004 – A new line of Tough Solar Analog and Ana/Digi watches were introduced by Casio, Inc., of Dover, New Jersey, at the JCK Show that opened here today. The new line is being displayed at Casio's booth #32064 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"These ‘Tough Solar' watches continuously recharge themselves by converting light to energy," said David Johnson, vice president of the Timepiece division. They can even keep time for up to two years without light," continued Johnson.

Models: AWS90-7AV, AWS90-9AV, AWS90D-1AV and AWS90D-2AV, are available now at the manufacturers suggested retail price of $49.95 & $59.95. The large easy to read LED panel at the bottom of the dial provides information for the alarm, stopwatch, day & date.

The AWS90-7AV has a pewter dial while the AWS90-9AV has a gold tone dial; both feature textured resin straps for the corporate casual look, while the AWS90D-1AV & AWS90D-2AV are stainless steel bracelets and bezels. The rich looking dials come in black or blue. "The styling on these watches are classic with the added benefit of ever having to worry about replacing the battery, added Johnson.

These watches feature:

Solar Power
Auto EL backlight
100M water resistant
Day and date display
Solid stainless steel case and band
Mineral glass

Models: MDAS10H-1BV, MDAS11H-1BV, and MDAS11HC-9EV, have more of a classic sport feel while utilizing an analog movement. The styles range in colors and materials, all three use a resin strap for complete comfort. All three watches feature Tough Solar Technology, are 100M water resistant, and have an auto LED light.

The MDAS10H-1BV is a 3-hand analog that has a black resin bezel to match the dial and strap. "Incorporating the Tough Solar Technology into this analog watch, makes it a great watch for a broad range of lifestyles," said Johnson.

The MDAS11H-1BV & MDAS11HC-9EV are the same functionality watch with different color treatments. The MDAS11H-1BV is a 3-hand analog with a red second hand and silver bezel to offset the black dial and black resin strap. The MDAS11HC-9EV features a yellow second hand with a gold tone bezel. Both styles are classic sport analog movement watches.

All three will be available in August 2004 at the manufacturers suggested retail price of $49.95.
