Casio Offers a Host of Features in its New Atomic Solar Pathfinder Timepiece

JANUARY 5, 2006, LAS VEGAS, NV – Casio, Inc. announced the release of its newest Pathfinder timepiece, the PAW1200T-7V, at the CES 2006 Show that opened today at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The timepiece will be on display at Casio's Booth # 9808.

The new Pathfinder PAW1200T-7V features Casio's revolutionary waveceptor atomic timekeeping technology and tough solar power, meaning no more worries of changing the time for daylight saving time or leap years. Atomic time is the official U.S. government time, the time that NASA uses when they're counting down a shuttle launch and the time our military relies upon. The atomic transmitter conveys the time data as it is received, several times daily, through an antenna built right into the watch!

The PAW1200T-7V is so much more than a timekeeping device. Incorporated into the new Pathfinder is a mass of features, including a digital compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer. It's every weather afficionado's dream come true!

"We are excited about the introduction of the newest Pathfinder to Casio's extensive portfolio of multi-functional timepieces," said David Johnson, Vice President of Casio's Timepiece Division. "Not only is this watch rugged enough for the outdoors, hence the brand name Pathfinder, but it also provides key instruments for the most adventurous consumers."

The new Pathfinder timepiece has all the great features that have become synonymous with Casio, G-Shock and Baby-G watches, including water resistance for up to 100 meters, a 1/100-second stopwatch, five alarms, world time and countdown timer.

The PAW1200T-7V is available in a titanium band, and will be available at JC Penney for the MSRP of $380. The same Pathfinder model is also available in black resin (PAW1200-1V) at JC Penney for the MSRP of $300. The green resin model (PAW1200-3V) will be available at select retailers for the MSRP of $300.
