CASIO TAKES ITS NEWEST BABY-G TO THE STREETS

Collaboration with Hawaiian-Based Retailer Adds a Stylish Twist to Leading Watch Brand

DOVER, NJ, April 19, 2010 - Known for its ability to capture today’s leading fashion trends, Casio’s  Baby-G will feature a new stylish model through a collaboration with  urban/action lifestyle retailer, In4mation. The BG3000X-2 model combines street style with action and adventure to offer consumers the best of both worlds and boasts a battleship gray color band with pink branded In4mation logos on each side. The back case is engraved with the In4mation logo for added style.

Baby-G, known for its playful look and feel, is designed for the feisty and flirty femme who works hard and plays even harder. In4mation’s distinctive approach to design provides a strong visual and adaptive nature to the ruggedly chic Baby-G timepiece. In4mation is rooted in island style but represents urban culture. Since opening its first retail location in 2002, In4mation has established itself as Hawaii’s premier retailer of skate and street gear. The company’s collective knowledge of business, style and design led to a successful apparel line that has since been offered to select locations across the globe. 

 The BG3000X-2 is the fourth collaboration In4mation has completed with Casio. The retailer joined forces with Baby-G’s male counterpart, G-Shock in 2009 to launch two special-edition G-Lide styles. The third G-Shock G-Lide style (GLX6900X-2) will be introduced in conjunction with the Baby-G launch in June.

“In4mation is proud to introduce its Spring/Summer 2010 set of watches with new G-Shock and Baby-G models,” said Creative Director, Rhandy Tambio. “In4mation has taken a new approach with its fourth design and focused on a look for everyday use with a subtle gray styling and contrasting hints throughout both watches. In4mation continues to establish its attention to detail and elevate its approach to design with Casio’s popular brands.”

Featuring capabilities for the active fashionista, the BG3000X-2 is shock resistant and water resistant up to 200 meters, making it the perfect companion for spring and summer escapes.   The new watch also features an EL backlight with afterglow, world time, five daily alarms and countdown timer which offer the jet-setter all the necessary qualities in a highly functional yet super sexy timepiece!

The BG3000X-2 and GLX6900X-2 models will be available at local fashion boutiques and select Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Macy’s stores nationwide in June. The BG3000X-2 will have a MSRP of $89 and the GLX6900X-2 model will have a MSRP for $110.
