DOVER, NJ (April 30, 2013) — Casio America, Inc. and the Dallas Songwriters Association have partnered to deliver a Casio PX-350 Privia digital piano to the grand prize winner of the 23rd Dallas Songwriters Annual Song Contest. The Dallas Songwriters Association offers songwriters the chance to share their music writing talents with industry professionals from record labels and publishing companies.
Amateur songwriters from around the world compete each year for more than $5,000 in prizes in the Dallas Songwriters Annual Song contest. This year’s contest features eight categories judged by music industry professionals – Christian/Inspirational, Country, Americana/Folk/Bluegrass, Pop/Rock/R&B/Alternative, Love Songs, Children’s/Novelty, Singer/Songwriter, and Instrumental. There can be multiple winners in each category plus a grand prize winner.
“Casio is proud to announce its partnership with the Dallas Songwriters Association, which is one of the longest running international song contests for amateur songwriters," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instruments Division. “With its 17-track sequencer, ability to save MIDI files on USB storage, and CD-quality WAV audio recording capabilities, the Privia PX-350 is a perfect fit for songwriters. Casio is committed to providing innovative digital pianos that enable music lovers to express themselves and create songs like never before.”
The Privia PX-350 delivers unmatched realism and detail. It’s equipped with Casio’s new proprietary sound source, “AiR” (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) which provides damper resonance and sensational dynamics, utilizing 4 layer stereo dynamic piano samples. The Privia PX-350 features a redesigned 88 note Tri-sensor scaled hammer action keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory textured keys for an incredible feel and utilizes over three times the waveform memory of the previous generation. This latest Privia model has a total of 250 instrument tones built in and the ability to store a user’s preferred splits and layers for live performances. Ready for the stage or the studio, the PX-350 can also record a 44.1kHz.wav file directly to a USB thumb drive so that rehearsals and performances can be shared with others.
