DOVER, NJ, January 12, 2005-Casio issues the following statement in response to Casio watches in the news related to terrorist activity:

Casio Inc., together with its parent company, Casio Computer Co., Ltd, a leader in technology-driven consumer products and lifestyle timepieces, is highly concerned that Casio watches may be associated with any illegal activity that may be detrimental to public safety.

In light of this news, one of our representatives has proposed a consumer electronics security initiative to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and has requested a meeting with senior DHS officials to pursue this. We look forward to participating in this effort in all possible ways.
