CASIO’S PRIVIA PX-330 WINS KEYBOARD MAGAZINE KEY BUY AWARD

Award-Winning Digital Piano Features Authentic Grand Piano Sound and Best In Class Technology

DOVER, NJ, October 7, 2009 — Casio America, Inc. is proud to announce that the Privia PX-330 is the recipient of the Key Buy Award presented by Keyboard Magazine.  One of the music industry’s most respected publications, Keyboard Magazine features the most innovative musical instruments and music technology products.  The Privia PX-330, recently reviewed in the October issue of the magazine, was granted a Key Buy Award for its high functionality and exceptional price point.

Key Buy Award winners are selected throughout the year by the editors of Keyboard Magazine.  New products are reviewed and those that meet the Keyboard Magazine standards are placed in the Key Buy Award contenders bracket.  The editors then work together to choose the Key Buy Award winners based on the following criteria:

  • The product represents a genuine technological breakthrough;
  • At press time, it’s the best product in its class; and
  • It offers more bang-for-your-buck that’s better than what anyone would expect

In addition to meeting at least one of these requirements, the product has to be free from any significant flaws that would detract from sound, workflow or any other musical aspect.

“We are honored to win such a distinguished award from Keyboard Magazine,” said Mike Martin, Director of Marketing, Electronic Musical Instruments Division for Casio America Inc.  “As the newest addition to the Privia line, the PX-330 encompasses Casio’s latest sound technologies providing musicians with an instrument featuring unmatched performance capabilities at a highly competitive price point.”

The PX-330 combines unprecedented sound quality and performance in a sleek, lightweight package.  The new grand piano sound introduced in the PX-330 is comprised of four dynamic layers of stereo piano samples.  When integrated with Casio’s Linear Morphing System, the PX-330 delivers a more realistic sound with seamless transitions and a superior dynamic range.  The PX-330 also features a new Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer action keyboard providing users with the weight, feel and resistance of a grand piano, without sacrificing the PX-330’s portability.

Equipped with 128-note polyphony, the PX-330 has the ability to handle the most demanding musical passages, to layer sounds and use the damper pedal without worry about dropping notes.  In addition, an acoustic Resonance Effect simulates the sound of the dampers released off the strings by the sustain pedal, taking realism to a new level.

The PX-330 is now available with an MSRP of $799.99. For more information and retail locations, visit www.PriviaPiano.com.
