G-SHOCK AND BABY-G HANG TEN ON THE WRIST OF PRO SURFER

Casio Announces Sponsorship of Erica Hosseini 

DOVER, NJ, April 7, 2009 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, is proud to announce a year-long sponsorship of pro-surfer Erica Hosseini.  Hosseini will represent the popular G-Shock and Baby-G timepiece lines.  G-Shock and Baby-G are known for their shock resistance and stylish looks.

For more than 25 years, Casio G-Shock digital watches have been the ultimate tough watch, redefining wristwatch culture and allowing for use in extreme conditions.  G-Shock’s counterpart, Baby-G, was launched a few years after the men’s version, offering women a tough as nails watch.  Both brands include features useful for an active individual, such as countdown timers and stopwatch mode, all packed into a stylish and comfortable body.  Today, G-Shock and Baby-G watches dress the wrists of well-known athletes, musicians and celebrities, as well as devoted fans of the timepiece brands.

A ten year veteran of the waves, Hosseini, 21, has become a dominant force in multiple circuits finishing in the top three in ten events and capturing first place in the 2008 Volcom Championships and 2007 Roxy Pro Jr. competitions.  Hosseini is currently competing in the World Qualifying Series.

As part of the agreement, Erica will also be used in Casio’s marketing and advertising materials, as well as for personal appearances, events and on Casio’s website.  Additionally, the Baby-G logo will appear on the upper half of Hosseini’s surfboard visibly and she will be outfitted with her choice of Casio timepieces.
