CASIO G-SHOCK ANNOUNCES REDMAN COLLABORATION

Redman’s Iconic Style Meets G-Shocks’ Innovative Technology

DOVER, NJ, August 5, 2009 – Casio G-Shock has collaborated with the irreverent and iconic rapper REDMAN. Similar to G-Shock, REDMAN is a classic and durable brand. Both have stood the test of time and have continued to become increasingly popular since their debut.

"G-Shock is tough and durable, but still raw to the core. I wanted a model that I could wear on my wrist with confidence", said legendary rapper REDMAN. "To me, the color red represents taking it to the maximum, just like when I hit the stage. I give my fans my all at live shows-stage dives, all the hits, and the best performance they've seen."

An unrelenting red with smooth glossy finish makes the AW591RED-4A a combination of REDMAN's intensity and classic G-Shock style. From the Ana-Digi family of G-Shock watches, the REDMAN X G-Shock features neo-brite luminous analog hands as well as digital timer and date windows.

"Casio is pleased to team up with the renowned Hip Hop Artist REDMAN," said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio's Timepiece Division. "His rugged nature, affinity to street wear style and ability to stay relevant throughout his career makes him a perfect collaborator for G-Shock."

As with every G-Shock timepiece, performance and durability are the foundations of the AW591RED-4A. Complete with shock and water resistance to an incredible 200 meters, flash alert, multi-function alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch, the limited edition watch features a custom REDMAN engraved back case.

The AW591RED-4A is available nationwide and online for $120. For more information please visit www.gshock.com.

About REDMAN
Reginald "Reggie" Noble was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1970. In 1990 he made his world debut on the EPMD album Business as Usual. In 1992 Redman released his debut album, Whut? Thee Album. The album peaked at number forty-nine on the Billboard 200 and went certified gold. He was then named "Rap Artist of the Year" by The Source. Redman followed up with his 1994 album, Dare Iz a Darkside.

Redman's solo career continued throughout the remainder of the decade, with each of his albums selling at least half a million copies. Some argue that Redman is also the originator of the pop-culture gesture, "Raise the Roof," due to the gesture being performed in the video, "Pick It Up" from his 1996 album, Muddy Waters.

He has kept his fans happy by independently releasing the Ill At Will mixtapes, which feature various members of his Gilla House crew, including Saukrates and Icarus. Under his birth name, Reggie Noble, Redman has done production for himself, many of his crew members, and even Shaquille O'Neal on his Shaq-Fu: Da Return album.

Redman's latest album and collaboration with Method Man, Blackout! 2-the follow up to the immensely popular 1999 album Blackout!-recently released and has been praised by both die-hard hip-hop fans and music critics.
