Aviation Inspired With Toughness and Technology

DOVER, NJ, August 5, 2009 - Designed with pilots in mind, the new G-Shock G-Aviation combines superior technology with practical functionality. Advanced features and refined style make this men’s watch perfect for the boardroom and the cockpit.

Reminiscent of an aircraft console, the G-Aviation features an Arabic luminous index so 12 O’clock is instantly visible, the no reflection face provides visibility in the sunniest condition, the large buttons make operation a breeze and the function indicator shows mode, battery level and radio wave reception.

“We are thrilled to introduce the G-Shock G-Aviation, it captures the essence of aviation while keeping G-Shock’s tradition of toughness and technology,” said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “The G-Aviation is the perfect accessory for the rugged yet sophisticated man.”

Impeccably designed with toughness and technology, the G-Aviation also features Non-Stop, Tough Solar Power & Self–Adjusting, Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping technology, lightweight aluminium hands reinforced by a brass joining ring, and a two-piece shock dispersing bezel construction for the ultimate in accuracy and performance.

Non-Stop, Tough Solar Power - A tiny, solar panel combined with a large-capacity rechargeable battery enables a variety of energy-hungry functions to operate smoothly. The result is an impressive solar timepiece that assures reliable timekeeping and greatly reduces the need for battery change.

Self-Adjusting Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping - Compatible with all six transmission stations worldwide, Multi-Band 6 is the world’s first radio-control system built to receive time calibration signals from up to six transmission stations: two in Japan and one each in North America, the United Kingdom and Germany, plus the new station in China. Through a miniaturized, shock-resistant, highly sensitive amorphous antenna and large-capacity, power-saving LSI, stable operation of watch functions including 6-station radio wave reception are achieved.  With Casio’s Atomic Timekeeping Technology, you will always have ultimate precision.

Additional G-Aviation features include Shock Resistance, 200M Water Resistance,
Full Auto LED Backlight, Neo-Brite Luminous Hands & Markers, World Time, and Daily Alarm with SNZ.

Available with a resin band (GW2500-1A) for $240 or metal IP band (GW2500BD-1A) for $350, the G-Aviation will be available in July online at My.Casio.com or at fine retailers nationwide. For more information please visit www.gshock.com
