G-SHOCK PREMIERS ITS NEW G-AVIATION TIMEPIECE
New Aviation Concept Model with Triple G Resistance and Fine Resin Combo Band for Ultimate Comfort
Dover, NJ, (February 1, 2013) — Casio America, Inc. announces its newest addition to the Gravity Defier Aviation lineup. Designed with Triple G resist, this watch can withstand the shock of three forces: gravitational dropping force, centrifugal gravitational force and vibration. The new watch also features an improved watch band with superior lightness and durability for even better comfort on the wrist.
The GWA1000FC features a new type of resin bracelet band. This new watch band is built from urethane pieces internally reinforced with metal, linked by coupling segments made of a new type of resin called “fine resin”. Fine resin is a light and durable material that provides unparalleled weight reduction compared to a metal band, with no compromise in durability. The simple one-touch, 3-fold clasp-style design of the buckle also makes the watch easier to take off and put on.
The Smart Access feature of this new addition to the G-Aviation line-up provides simple, intuitive access to vital information no matter where your adventures take you. Its electronic crown operations let you instantly change the city setting, switch between home time and world time city, or access Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The hour, minute and second hands are driven by separate, independent motors, so hands instantly move to the required positions no matter what type of operation you are performing.
The functions pilots rely on, such as World Time and the stopwatch, are completely intuitive to operate. To ensure reliable operation even while flying an aircraft, the crown switch also has a quick-lock mechanism that enables simple lock and release.
In addition to the Smart Access feature this beauty also boasts a temperature sensor which provides temperature readings at a glance.
The G-Aviation watch is a G-Shock which means it is shock and 200M water resistant, in addition it also features tough solar power, a smart access crown, MB6 atomic timekeeping, neo-brite luminous hands and markers, world time (29 cities + UTC), daily alarms, 1/20th second chronograph, countdown timer, 12/24hr formats and mute function.
“We are very excited for the premiere of our G-Aviation watch,” says Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio America, Inc, “Its durability and aeronautical features speak to the core of functional design that G-Shock stands for.”
The GWA1000FC-2A will retail for $600 and is available with a navy and black fine composite band, with a navy and black analog dial. Now at select Macy’s and Bloomingdales stores, fashion boutiques, key jewelry stores, and www.gshock.com
