Sunnyvale, CA – July 28, 2005 -- Yahoo! Search issued a call for entries today into The Yammys -- the first annual Yahoo! Video Search Awards, sponsored by Casio Inc. The contest aims to find and recognize the type of online video content that continues to make Yahoo! Video Search, http://video.search.yahoo.com, one of the most popular sites on the Web to find interesting, relevant, and fun video content. To enter a video for consideration consumers should visit www.yahoo.com and search for "The Yammys." Submissions will be accepted beginning today and ending August 17 at midnight. The Yammys Grand Prize winner will receive a red-carpet premiere in their hometown, to showcase their winning video with all their friends and family, along with a plasma TV and DVD player.
Jenny McCarthy, star of UPN's Bad Girls Guide and author of Belly Laughs, a New York Times Best Seller, Kelly Monaco, star on General Hospital and recent winner of ABC's top-rated hit Dancing with the Stars and Pauly Shore, comedic talent and star of new reality show Minding The Store on TBS, will serve as celebrity judges for The Yammys. Categories include Bloopers, Pets, Road Trips, Office Humor, and a catch-all "I Can't Believe It!".

Casio Inc., the exclusive sponsor of The Yammys, is awarding the 25 semi-finalists and five audience favorites its new Exilim EX-S500, a slim and sleek 5 megapixel camera that can record up to an hour of MPEG 4 video when used with a 1 GB SD memory card*. Semi-finalists and Audience Voting
The top five videos from each of the five categories will be decided on by Yahoo! and announced as semi-finalists on August 30.
Beginning August 30 through September 12, 2005, consumers can vote for their favorite video from the list of semi-finalists and the top five videos will be prominently displayed on the Yammys website and screened at the grand prize winner's red-carpet premiere.
All 25 semi-finalists will receive a Casio Exilim EX-S500 digital camera, 20 Fandango tickets and a DVD package of celebrated films in each of the five categories. And, consumers that vote for their favorite video will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes offering a chance to win a Casio Exilim EX-S500 digital camera.
Celebrity Judging – Grand Prize Winners
The celebrity judges will choose one Grand Prize-winning video from the 25 semi-finalists and announce the winner on September 19, 2005. In addition to all of the above, the Grand Prize Winner will receive a red carpet premiere of their winning video in their hometown along with a plasma TV and DVD player.
