The camera may even be removed from the stand and used as a stand-alone high-resolution digital camera. * CCD (Charged-Couple Device) The Casio CCD is a solid-state silicon chip that contains millions of photosensitive diodes called photosites. The instant the YC-400 camera shutter opens, each photosite records the intensity or brightness of the light that falls on it by accumulating a charge; the more light, the higher the charge. The brightness recorded by each photosite is then stored as a set of numbers that set the color and brightness of dots on the screen or ink on the printed page to reconstruct the image. The Casio CCD is very unique and produces consistent and superior images on screen in natural light, and on paper reproduction. One-of-a-Kind Multi-Functional Features – Only Offered by Casio The YC-400 is truly unique and multi-functional. It’s more than just a document camera. It can also be used to digitally capture and project images of entire whiteboard contents, 3-dimensional objects, and any other material that may be used during a meeting or presentation. Images recorded with the camera can be stored in computer memory for future reference. You could, for example, capture and store images of whiteboard contents and keep an electronic record of both projected images and handwritten information. A Scanner Mode even lets you record and store images of documents all from the same unit.
