This Solar Atomic G-Shock features a black ion plated stainless steel band and blue LCD for a distinctly stealth look. With ion plating, metal is vaporized in a vacuum chamber, where application of an electrical current ionizes the metal vapor. This causes it to adhere quickly to the surface forming a membrane. The resulting hard coating is resists scratching and corrosion.
