KL-P1000 or KP-C10 Label printer isn't being detected by PC when I try to print.

First, be sure to download and install the latest version of the FA-B30 software from the Casio Web site. It is recommended that software be installed before connecting the label printer to the PC for the first time.
Connect the Label Printer to the PC's USB port. Be sure the cable is securely connected to both the PC and the Unit. The PC should detect new hardware, and may attempt to automatically install the proper driver.
If automatic installation fails, or you choose to skip automatic installation, then you may see a dialog box with a message prompting you to insert the software disc or specify another location (such as a network drive). Do not insert the disc that came with the Label Printer. Instead, point the installer to the C:WindowsSystem32Drivers folder, so that it finds the Klsmsep.sys file. After that, you should be able to print using the FA-B30 software.

What is the temperature range for using label tapes?

Operating temperature limit: -5° to 45°C
Storage temperature range: -25° to 65°C

My CD or DVD will not work after printing.

The manual suggests burning the CD or DVD before using the Title Writer. However, it is possible that if the CD or DVD player has a weak laser, then it will not read after printing. Try the CD or DVD in another device to test it.

I'm making an audio CD with lots of music tracks. How can I fit more tracks on a label?

First, choose a print pattern that will print field 1 and field 2 with a rectangular layout (not curved or "fan" layout). By default, field 1 will contain the CD title and the artist name, and field 2 will contain up to six lines to list the music tracks.
Select the Text Layout icon, and choose a layout that allows you to show two tracks per line instead of just one. By doing this, you should be able to fit 12 tracks in the lower field.
Sometimes, you might need even more than 12 tracks on a label. In that case, try using one or more of the following modifications to free up space from field 1, which will then be utilized for listing more tracks:
1. Eliminate the tile and/or artist name from the label. To do this, just leave the input box blank, and it won't be printed. Completely eliminating both of these will enable you to list up to 24 tracks.
2. Reduce the font size of the title or artist name.
3. If both the title and artist names are short enough, consider combining them onto a single line in the "Title" input box, while leaving the "Artist Name" input box blank.
Remember that you can preview your work on the screen before printing. Click the magnifying glass icon to get a more readable version of both fields.

My disc already has pre-printed text. How can I ensure that CW-100 is printing in the correct orientation relative to the pre-printed text?

When you issue the print command, the CW-100 will eject the disc tray and prompt you to insert the disc. The program will show a dialog box similar to the below picture. This dialog box has an illustration of the printer, and a disc with pre-printed text and an rectangular outline showing you where the first print area is going to print. Be sure to pay attention to where the rectangle is, as the position could vary depending on your print layout.

How do I print on the lower area of the disc?

The disc has two print areas--an upper area and a lower area. If you have entered information to be printed (using the software), and there is a lot of information, some of it may go into the lower area. For example, on a music CD, the printer may print the title and the artist on the upper area, and a list of songs on the lower area.
When you go to print, the unit will print the upper area, and then stop. At this point, a message should appear on the PC screen prompting you to rotate the disc 180 degrees. After doing this, close the tray, and it will then proceed to print the lower area.

I want to print a graphic, but it appears stretched or distorted. How can I fix this?

Click the image icon to open the Image Settings window. You will see a check box labeled "Maintain aspect ratio." If this box is not checked, then the software will stretch the graphic to fit the print field. If this box is checked, then the graphic will appear at its original aspect ratio (in other words, not stretched or distorted).
The Image Settings window also acts as a preview for this feature. After you select a graphic, you can check or uncheck the "Maintain aspect ratio" box and immediately see what the graphic would look like when it is printed.

2. Look for any device that has an icon with an exclamation point (!). You may find this under "Other Devices" (USB Device).
3. Double-click that device, select the Driver tab, and then select Update Driver.
4. Allow the system to automatically search for and install the driver.
5. Click FINISH when complete.
After doing the above procedure, retry printing.
