What should I do to get an incremented series of numbers or letters to carry to the next place to the left?
An incremented series will carry to the left for only as many digits as are available. To have the count carry to the left, there needs to be a place available for the carry. For example, a two-digit numeric count needs to start from 01 (or <space>1).
