About Charging

How do I charge Moflin?

Moflin has a built-in rechargeable battery. After purchase, please follow these steps before use: Step 1: Set up the Moflin Bed (charger). Plug the AC adaptor provided into the Moflin Bed (1) and then into a household power outlet (2). Once it is connected, the white LED lights up. Step 2: Place your Moflin in the Moflin Bed. Your Moflin’s rear should go at the end of the Moflin Bed with the LED. Set your Moflin in the Moflin Bed so that their tummy is flush against the flat surface in the Moflin Bed. Find the position where the LED turns orange to show that charging has started. Step 3: Your Moflin starts moving. As charging progresses, your Moflin begins to move. When charging is completed, the LED turns green. Guide to charging time: Approx. 3.5 hours (at 25°C (77°F))* *Charging times vary depending on the temperature. I can’t charge my Moflin. What should I do?

The LED on the Moflin Bed is lit in light blue.. What does this mean?

Charging has stopped temporarily due to excessive heat. Once the charger cools down, charging will automatically restart.

The LED on the Moflin Bed is flashing light blue. What does this mean?

Charging has stopped temporarily due to excessive heat. Set up the Moflin Bed again in an environment that is within the recommended operating temperature range (5–35°C (41–95°F)). The LED will light white once the temperature drops. Check that the LED is lit white and then try charging your Moflin again.

The LED on the Moflin Bed is flashing orange. What does this mean?

The orange blinking LED indicates that Moflin is misaligned or a foreign object was detected between Moflin and the Moflin Bed. Take your Moflin out of the Moflin Bed and remove any objects (particularly anything metallic) that are in the Moflin Bed. Once the LED is lit white, place your Moflin in the Moflin Bed again to charge your Moflin. If you still cannot charge Moflin properly, please refer to this and make sure Moflin is correctly placed in the Moflin Bed.

The LED on the Moflin Bed is lit or flashing red. What should I do?

Take your Moflin out of the Moflin Bed and remove any objects (particularly anything metallic) that are in the Moflin Bed. Then, briefly unplug the USB-AC adaptor from the household power outlet and plug it in again. Check that the LED is lit white and then place your Moflin in the Moflin Bed again. If you are not using the Moflin Bed that was provided with your Moflin, check the Moflin Bed compatibility chart If you have tried checking all the items listed above and the error persists, stop charging and refer to the Support Page Otherwise, submit an inquiry to CASIO using the contact details provided in the separate warranty.

Charging takes a long time to complete. Is this normal?

The estimated charging time is about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Important: This estimate is based on charging to completion at 25°C (77°F). It does not guarantee that charging will always be completed in 3 hours and 30 minutes. If Moflin is not centered in the Moflin Bed or the ambient temperature varies, charging time may change.

How can I help the rechargeable battery last longer?

To help the rechargeable battery last longer, it is important to avoid over-discharging and overcharging it. The Moflin Bed is designed to prevent overcharging. Once charging is complete, indicated by the green LED, you can leave Moflin in the Moflin Bed for an extended period without any problem. Rather than waiting until the battery level gets low, we recommend placing Moflin in the Moflin Bed whenever you are not interacting with it and charging it regularly. We recommend using Moflin within the operating temperature range of 5 to 35°C. Charging, using, or storing it in extremely high or low temperatures outside this range may negatively affect the battery.

The supplied cable or adapter is damaged or missing. Can I use a different cable or adaptor instead?

Using a cable or adapter other than the supplied accessories may cause a malfunction. You may be able to charge Moflin using a different cable or adapter, but proper operation is not guaranteed. Any failure or malfunction resulting from the use of accessories other than those supplied is not covered by the warranty and will be subject to a repair fee. If you would like to have the adaptor repaired or purchase a cable or adaptor, please contact us.

Can I use the AC adapter overseas?

The AC adapter is designed for domestic use only and cannot be used overseas.

If I set Moflin to Deep Sleep Mode in MofLife, will the battery stop draining?

Even in Deep Sleep Mode, Moflin continues to communicate with your smartphone via Bluetooth, so the battery level of the Moflin unit will still decrease. * Please check here for details on Deep Sleep Mode settings.

Can I charge Moflin using a portable power bank?

You may be able to charge Moflin by connecting a portable power bank that supports USB Type-C 5 V/3 A output to a USB Type-C model Moflin Bed. However, proper operation is not guaranteed. Any failure or malfunction resulting from the use of a portable power bank is not covered by the warranty and will be subject to a repair fee.

When should the rechargeable battery be replaced?

As a guideline, Moflin's rechargeable battery should be replaced after about 3 to 4 years, depending on usage conditions. * Battery capacity decreases over time due to repeated charging and discharging as well as aging. * Please contact us here for details about battery replacement fees.
