Disposal of waste equipment/used batteries
Help us save the environment
Information on the disposal and return of your electrical appliances and used batteries:
Disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment
(for products for household use)
The symbol (crossed-out dustbin) on the product means that the respective device must not be mixed with your household waste or disposed of at the end of its service life, but belongs in special collection and return systems.
Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as waste equipment. As a rule, owners of waste equipment must separate used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste equipment before handing them over to a collection point. This does not apply insofar as the waste equipment is handed over to public waste management authorities and separated there from other waste equipment for the purpose of preparation for reuse.
Data protection notice
Waste equipment often contains sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and telecommunications technology equipment. In your own interest, please note that each end user is responsible for deleting the data on the waste equipment to be disposed of.
Disposal of used batteries
This symbol (crossed-out dustbin) on the battery indicates that the battery must not be disposed of unsorted in the household waste, but must be handed in for recycling at the end of its service life at a designated collection point of the local municipality or special collection and return systems.
If a chemical symbol is indicated below the symbol, this indicates that the battery contains the corresponding chemical substance (Hg = mercury, Cd = cadmium, Pb = lead).
You are legally obligated to return used batteries.
Possibility of returning waste equipment and used batteries
Improper waste disposal can, under certain circumstances, have a harmful effect on the environment and health due to potentially hazardous substances. By cooperating in the proper disposal of the waste equipment and/or used batteries, you contribute to the reuse, recycling and recovery of the waste equipment and/or used batteries and protect our environment.
Free collection points for waste equipment and/or used batteries are available in your vicinity for the return of waste equipment and/or used batteries. You can obtain the addresses of municipal collection points from your city or local government. In addition, when you purchase a new appliance, you can usually also return your waste equipment to larger stores for electrical and electronic appliances and to food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 square meters that offer electrical and electronic appliances several times a calendar year or on a permanent basis. Devices that are not larger than 25 centimetres in any external dimension can also be returned independently of the purchase of a new device.
You can also return waste equipment that is not larger than 25 centimetres in any dimension and/or used batteries to our CASIO shipping warehouse free of charge in person or by mail under the subject "Return waste equipment":
