Robust and uniquely lightweight! In the fast lane with the NISMO MY23 EDITION

With another NISMO special edition, watch manufacturer CASIO EDIFICE remains true to Japanese motor racing. NISSAN MOTORSPORT is the epitome of ultimate performance, sophisticated innovation, and a sporty, exciting style. These values and the EDIFICE concept of "Speed and Intelligence" not only connect the brand worlds of the two Japanese companies, but also find expression in the jointly designed high-tech chronograph.

NISMO is the abbreviation for Nissan Motorsport International. The world-renowned subsidiary of the automotive group not only competes in motorsport races, however, but also offers racing technology and designs for use in road cars. With its sporty design, this year's EDIFICE NISMO MY23 EDITION picks up on NISMO's signature colours of red and black, echoing the distinctive look and graphics of the award-winning Nissan Z with the race number 23.

Thanks to the high tech-materials that are used, the ECB-2000NIS promises considerable robustness and unique lightness at the same time. Implemented in a refined way by a carbon-reinforced resin case. Part of the black-coated bezel with bevelled edge recalls the streamlined shape of the NISSAN. The eye-catching dial also finds its source of inspiration in the SUPER GT series race car.

The overall colour scheme of the watch was modelled on the design of the Nissan Z and adds contrasting accents with the change from red to black. Part of the upper dial has a graphic pattern that incorporates the "Z" logo of the car. Large, white baton indexes as well as hands with fluorescent coating emphasize the dynamic character of the watch, in addition to providing optimal readability. Inspired by the chassis struts that give a racing car the necessary resistance and keep it reliably on the track, a cross adorns the dial and refers to the respective functions of the four pushers. Powerful and expressive, a cool resin strap in the same colour gradient rounds out the stylish chronograph and guarantees pleasant wearing comfort.

Via Bluetooth, the Connected Chronograph connects to the smartphone via the CASIO WATCHES app and allows the time to be adjusted automatically. Other features such as the alarm function or the measured stopwatch data can also be conveniently read via the app. The day and date can be read on the digital display at 3 o'clock and a second time zone at 6 o'clock. At 9 o'clock, the integrated countdown timer ensures precise time management, with the sub-dial showing the last 30 minutes before the next appointment. To do this, the watch synchronizes via Bluetooth with the calendar app* on a smartphone and shows the start and end of scheduled appointments. The changeover to daylight saving time is also completely automatic.

The chronograph is equipped with Tough Solar® technology developed by CASIO, with tiny solar cells on the dial that ensure a powerful energy supply. The unused energy is stored in the rechargeable battery and allows for a dark-gear reserve of up to 24 months. An environmentally friendly concept that CASIO has used since the early 1980s and continues to develop.
