CASIO Vintage launches collaboration model with Netflix series "Stranger Things"
The A120WEST-1AER features a colourful pop design reminiscent of the cult series
Norderstedt, 25 May 2023 — Casio Europe today unveiled the A120WEST-1AER, a new collaboration model inspired by Netflix's mega-hit series "Stranger Things" with many references to 1980s culture.
The new design is based on the A120, a watch that mirrors the look of the digital watches Casio released in the 1980s, and pays homage to the "Upside Down", the alternate dimension that exists alongside the human world in Stranger Things.
The dial reflects the world of the characters from Stranger Things and evokes 1980s styles with poppy, colourful buttons on the front. The luminous graphic of the Demogorgon in the center of the display is just as imposing as it appears in the human world. When the LED light button is pressed, the name of the series appears upside down as a reference to another world on the other side. The reverse side of the case and the transparent strap are designed with eerie tentacles extending from the Upside Down, hinting at the connection between the two worlds. The special packaging is also illustrated with pictures of the young characters of the series.
Seasons 1 to 4 of "Stranger Things" are available to watch worldwide on Netflix.
