Cyber incident at Casio

Casio hereby notifies you of a cybersecurity incident.

Norderstedt, 21 June, 2023 — On 12 June, 2023, our IT team discovered that attackers had managed to bypass parts of the security measures of our server infrastructure and plant malware.

After discovering the incident, we immediately isolated the affected systems, called in certified external specialists for IT data security and forensic investigations recommended by the BSI, among others, and informed the law enforcement authorities. We have also informed the competent data protection authority. We are continuing to work at full speed to obtain a comprehensive picture of the incident and the possible consequences as quickly as possible. 

Even though this forensic investigation will continue, we would like to take the opportunity now to inform you about our current state of knowledge to date:
