G-SHOCK launches new survival models with heart rate monitor and GPS tracking
The new RANGEMAN offers robust durability and useful functions for the toughest outdoor adventures
Norderstedt, 05 January - 2024 Survival Mode ON: As the latest addition to the popular RANGEMAN series, G-SHOCK today launched the two newest models in the range. The new GPR-H1000 is particularly suitable for use in specialised survival adventures and features an optical heart rate sensor and GPS function to provide the perfect support even in the harshest environments.
The Master of G line has been specially designed to meet the needs of professionals who live or work in extreme conditions. Whether on land, at sea or in the air - the Tough Professional G-SHOCKs impress with capabilities and functions that are specially configured for each of these environments.
For example, the RANGEMAN is equipped with a triple sensor that measures compass bearing, altitude/air pressure and temperature. Ideally suited for optimal use by rangers and other experts working in the harshest land environments, such as hot regions, arid deserts and rocky mountains.
The new GPR-H1000 is dust and dirt resistant and also has an accelerometer for recording activities such as the number of steps taken. In addition to the compass, a gyroscope for distance measurement and location accuracy and GPS functionality for recording location data are included. These comprehensive measurements accurately capture the wearer's body movements, changes in the environment and much more, allowing the user to keep a close eye on conditions such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels and direction, even in challenging environments.
The new watch is also equipped with measurement functions that support nine off-road activities. When trekking, for example, the watch displays heart rate, distance travelled, altitude and speed of ascent or descent, allowing the user to track their physical condition and surroundings to make decisions on the spot. This robust equipment is a solid support for users faced with extreme natural environments.
The bio-based resin used in the case and strap is derived from corn and castor beans, which are naturally biodegradable, renewable and absorb CO2. In addition, the new models also offer a practical benefit with Tough Solar technology, which eliminates the need to regularly replace the battery. The connection to the smartphone via the CASIO WATCHES app* also automatically ensures accurate timekeeping and enables the recording and evaluation of e.g. distances during a hike and many other fitness data.
* Available free of charge in the IOS App Store and Google Play Store
By continuously developing unique, original watches with ever-increasing performance and functionality, Casio once again demonstrates its commitment to supporting professionals who have to withstand the most extreme conditions.
