CASIO launches new Celviano digital pianos

Under the slogan Redefining Tradition and Innovation, CASIO presents the AP-750 cabinet digital piano, the new top model in the Celviano series. Equipped with the newly developed Grandphonic sound system, the Smart Hybrid Hammer Action keyboard (Celviano Edition) and state-of-the-art features such as the Visual Information Bar, CASIO's addition to the digital piano portfolio offers a great deal of innovation in the mid-price segment. In addition to the three world-famous grand piano sounds Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna, other piano sounds labelled Classical Piano Repertoire, whose sound aesthetics are specially adapted to the classical repertoire of selected musical eras, ensure great sound.

In addition to the Celviano flagship AP-750, CASIO is launching two other new Celviano models, the AP-550 and the AP-S450 (S for "slim"), which are presented in a particularly compact housing. The AP-750 is available in elegant black, while the AP-550 and AP-S450 models are available in black, brown and white.

All Celviano innovations are expected to be available from specialist retailers at the beginning of March.

GRAND PIANO SOUNDS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH

The Celviano AP-750 integrates the high-quality AiR Grand sound generation system, which is also used in the flagship CELVIANO Grand Hybrid series. This includes the sounds of three world-famous concert grand pianos: Berlin Grand, Hamburg Grand and Vienna Grand. The Berlin Grand sound was developed in collaboration with C. Bechstein.

The AP-550 and AP-S450 also contain two high-quality grand piano sounds that originate from the Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR sound generator. The AP-750 features the innovative Grandphonic Sound System, a new 4-way system with 8 loudspeakers. The careful reproduction of the resonances of a grand piano and the sophisticated distribution of the sound elements create a particularly natural sound impression.

The unique acoustic structure of the body ensures that the sound is channelled through the entire instrument and the resonance tones characteristic of a grand piano are produced. Instead of just hearing the sound from the loudspeakers, you can feel the subtle overtones and the breadth of the sound as if the grand piano were standing right in front of you.

The AP-550 is equipped with a sophisticated 2-way system with 4 speakers, which ensures a particularly natural sound propagation. Both the AP-750 and the AP-550 feature a unique CASIO design that allows the upper piano lid to be opened to simulate the impressive sound of opening a grand piano lid. The slim AP-S450, which is also equipped with a 2-way system with 4 loudspeakers, has two main loudspeakers pointing upwards for an authentically powerful sound.

SMART HYBRID HAMMER ACTION - CELVIANO EDITION

The popular and innovative Smart Hybrid Hammer Action keyboard has been optimised for the new CELVIANO models. This wooden hybrid keyboard takes into account the keyboard characteristics of high-quality grand piano keys and combines their physical-mechanical properties with advanced digital technology that controls the feel and sound reproduction for each key. This innovation enables an expressive performance that can be adapted to different playing techniques, just like a grand piano. In addition, the stability of the keyboard action has been improved to accommodate the subtle nuances of demanding classical piano pieces.
