Birth of Original G-SHOCK Characters Designed by NIGO®
Four Iconic Brand Models Serve as Design Motifs
Norderstedt, August 22, 2025 — CASIO EUROPE GmbH is excited to announce the launch of a new project in collaboration with globally renowned creator NIGO®, centered around the shock-resistant watch brand G-SHOCK. The original characters designed by NIGO® will embody the enduring spirit of G-SHOCK since its inception and will be featured across various global content initiatives going forward.
The characters are inspired by four signature G-SHOCK models—DW-5000 with its iconic square design, DW-6900 featuring three circular digital displays, GA-2100 with an octagonal bezel, and GA-110 boasting a large, dimensional case—and showcase unique coloring and design elements that only NIGO®, with his deep connection to diverse cultures over many years, could realize. These characters symbolize support for those who boldly take on challenges worldwide without fear of failure.
A dedicated website launched offers in-depth insights into the characters, including a series of upcoming animations.

NIGO® founded his own fashion brand in the 1990s, which quickly gained global recognition and became a cornerstone of the modern street fashion scene. Later, in 2010, he launched a new brand "HUMAN MADE," while also taking on creative collaborations with various companies. Since September 2021, he has served as the Artistic Director for LVMH-owned brand "KENZO." Most recently, in January 2025, he unveiled a collaborative collection with Pharrell Williams for "LOUIS VUITTON" in Paris.
A special project logo, “NIGO: G-SHOCK,” has been created as icon for the collaboration with G-SHOCK. The colon (:) at the center represents the digital clock’s hour-minute separator, symbolizing the timeless resonance between NIGO® and G-SHOCK.

About G-SHOCK
G-SHOCK was born from the idea and desire to create an indestructible watch. CASIO engineers followed the ‘Triple 10’ concept, which meant that the watch had to survive a fall from a height of 10 metres, withstand 10 bar of water pressure and have a battery life of 10 years. Since its launch in 1983, G-SHOCK has remained true to this concept and has continuously perfected its models through development. The cult brand has made a name for itself worldwide in the fields of fashion, sport and music. As a testament to this success, G-SHOCK celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023.
