Alain Chamfort

Interview with Alain Chamfort

Alain Chamfort is a singer and composer who resides in Deauville, a seaside town well-liked by Parisians for its close proximity to the city. His home is perched on a hill that overlooks the ocean and offers an idyllic setting for his inspiring his music.

“My house is a timber-framed building that is characteristic of architecture in Normandy. I love spending time playing the piano there, as it’s surrounded by the breathtaking view of the ocean,” Alain shares.

With its beautiful ocean-views, the soft sunlight that streams through the windows and the sound of birds chirping, nature has always been a central part of Alain’s life. Of course the same can also be said of music.

“Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. In a way, it feels almost natural that it has become my career. Even now, it’s as if I live together in harmony with music,” he reflects.

About a year ago, Alain began searching for a stylish piano to take with him on tour.

“I was looking for a piano that would be perfect for performing on stage, and that’s when I first discovered Privia. From the moment I saw it, I knew deep down that it was the one. Privia is a stunning instrument that truly shines on stage. At the same time, its sophisticated design makes it a stylish addition to my home and interior. Whenever I play this delicate yet elegant piano it naturally lifts my spirits,” he says.

“Most pianos tend to feel like functional tools for playing music, with many lacking any aesthetic appeal. But the Privia is different. It’s a visually striking instrument that has been designed to be seen and admired,” Alain remarks.
