Information on the joint responsibility for the analysis of personal data by CASIO and CASIO Europe
CASIO and CASIO Europe have entered into a joint responsibility agreement that sets out the responsibilities for protecting your personal data as follows:
- Joint responsibility applies to the analysis of personal data by CASIO and CASIO Europe. Specifically, joint control applies to (i) (in the case of use of the CASIO Europe web shop) the transfer of personal data from CASIO Europe to CASIO in Japan, a country for which the European Commission has decided that an adequate level of data protection exists; (ii) linking the personal data transmitted when using the CASIO Europe web shop or services as a CASIO ID user (e.g. name of the product or service purchased, access log data relating to access to the CASIO Europe website) with data already stored by means of an identifier (e.g. the CASIO ID); (iii) the analysis of the (linked) personal data to better understand the needs and wishes of users; and (iv) the use of the results of the analysis by CASIO itself and/or the transmission of results of the analysis and/or suggestions by CASIO to CASIO Europe so that CASIO Europe can use the results itself.

- CASIO and CASIO Europe will process your personal data in full compliance with applicable data protection laws and within the scope of your consent.
- You will be informed of the joint processing activities in accordance with applicable data protection law, which CASIO and CASIO Europe hereby do.
- You can contact both CASIO and CASIO Europe if you have any questions about data protection or wish to exercise your legal data protection rights.
- CASIO and CASIO Europe have agreed to inform and assist each other to ensure that your data protection requests are handled appropriately and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
- CASIO and CASIO Europe have agreed to inform and assist each other promptly of any relevant facts relating to your personal data (e.g. if further processing activities are to be carried out or if a personal data breach has occurred) to ensure that all necessary steps can be taken.
