A revolutionary calculator no bigger than a credit card , the eight-digit SL-800 paved the way for much more to come. Casio revives this iconic design in timepiece form, bringing the original '80s touch to the ever-popular A168 — by using the retro black and gold base colours of the SL-800, and even the same accent colours used for the time display numbers and other details. Vintage flair meets contemporary style for a timepiece as eye-catching as it is nostalgic. SL-800 At 85 mm x 54 mm, the eight-digit SL-800 calculator was astonishingly slim, at just 0.8 mm, and light, at 12 g. The calculator represented the pinnacle of the digital technologies that made possible a new era of slim, lightweight, compact products. It also laid the foundation for Casio development of state-of-the-art high-density mounting technology. In 2013, the SL-800 was designated an Essential Historical Materials for Science and Technology (or Future Technology Heritage) by the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, as a calculator with an extraordinarily slim, compact form.

The new models are based on the A168, a watch featuring classic colours and a design with vintage '80s flair, while incorporating contemporary styles to offer value that transcends time.

In 1983, a special eight-digit calculator with memory hit the scene. No bigger than a credit card, at 54 mm x 85 mm, it was astonishingly slim, at just 0.8 mm, and light, at 12 g. The SL-800 represented the culmination of the advances in digital technologies that were considered to have ushered in an era of slim, lightweight, compact products. Having provided the foundation for the development of state-of-the-art high-density mounting technology by Casio, the SL-800 attained, in 2013, an Essential Historical Materials for Science and Technology (or Future Technology Heritage) designation from the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, as a calculator realised in an extraordinarily slim, compact form.
FEATURES
Silver-coloured model accentuating the metallic face
The square face recalls the colours and design of the SL-800. Vivid red and beige lines stand out against the gold base colour. The same typeface originally used on the calculator is employed for the model number and mode indicators on the watch. The silver colour of the case and band gives the watch a strikingly metallic flair.
