These Casio timepieces are the first to employ a carbon fibre-reinforced resin made with carbon that is actually indigo blue, a newly developed colour for the material. Carbon fibre is mixed into a blue-hued masterbatch to create a natively indigo blue case with a striking, unique textural appearance.
The case design on the ECB-2200CB evokes the flow of wind rushing by a formula race car tearing up the track, and the ECB-2000CB, the suspension arms on formula race cars.

Blue ion plating is applied to metal components of the bezels, bands, and side buttons to create a dark blue colour tone with a deep gleam.
