Join the 40th anniversary celebrations marking G-SHOCK milestones with a selection of signature revivals in solid, time-tested all-black. In homage to the brand's evolution, these special designs memorialise iconic models from the past with their names hot-stamped on the band to textural, indented effect. On the DWE-5657, DW-6640 and GA-2140, a side button is engraved with a star in a nod to the 40th anniversary, as is the GA-114 with a star printed on the watch glass. The band and bezel of every model in the line are made with bio-based resins. The 40th anniversary logo designed by Eric Haze is engraved on the case back, and also appears in silhouette when the light button is pressed on the DWE-5657 and DW-6640. With four stars for 40 engraved on the band loop and other special details, these limited-edition timepieces are heirs to G-SHOCK history.

Band memorialising the historical evolution of G-SHOCK
Milestones marked by the G-SHOCK brand in its historical evolution since the very first model hit the scene in 1983 are expressed in the band design. Inspired by stone monuments that stand the test of time, iconic models from G-SHOCK history are imprinted in the band along with their launch years using a hot-stamping process that impresses the lettering into the band with a textural, indented effect.

The bezel and band are made with bio-based resins produced using renewable organic resources such as castor oil plants and corn, helping to reduce the ecological footprint of this watch.

Special packaging: Eco-consciousness embodied
Made with recycled materials, the specially designed eco-friendly packaging is shaped like the G in G-SHOCK. Recycled paper and vegetable ink is used for the outer box. The DWE-5657RE, which comes with an interchangeable bezel, features a special box made with a pulp material called bagasse (sugar cane fibre), a material used as a substitute for wood, and is printed with vegetable ink.
