Carry on the G-SHOCK legacy — go traditional with the original dial colors of the DW-5000C, the very first G-SHOCK, now in a full-metal watch. The classic G-SHOCK colors are on full display with faithful reproductions of G-SHOCK red, representing the passion to take on challenges; blue, symbolizing excellent water resistance; and yellow, signifying outstanding shock resistance. Crafting a stainless-steel bezel of this depth and dimension requires a time-consuming forging, cutting, and polishing process. The bezel top is finished beautifully with a hairline treatment and the beveled edges with a mirror finish for maximum textural beauty. Achieving a full-metal timepiece with the same original G-SHOCK shock-resistant structure is no easy feat. We installed buffering components made of fine resin between the stainless-steel bezel and case and employed a three-pronged lug for the band connection to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The stainless-steel case also features the same screw-lock construction as the original to ensure a tight seal. Dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK. And the fact that the watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made, brings the whole design full circle.

FEATURES
A true evolution of the original G-SHOCK DNA
The design code of the very first G-SHOCK, DW-5000C, is adopted, including the iconic brick pattern — a symbol of toughness — the “SHOCK RESIST” logo, and the mode and feature indicators. As a direct successor that symbolizes both the origins and innovation of G-SHOCK, the original color scheme of this watch expresses the enduring spirit of toughness.

Full-metal shock-resistant structure: Staying true to origins and constantly innovating
Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the stainless-steel bezel and case. The shock-resistant structure maintained since the very first G-SHOCK is achieved in a timepiece with a metal exterior. Also, a three-pronged structure is employed for the connective part of the band to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The case back features a screw-lock construction that ensures a tight seal.
The orientation of the case back may vary from watch to watch due to details of the manufacturing process.

Made in Japan
The watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made. Loyalty to the roots of that very first model makes these watches heirs to the original spirit of toughness that this made-in-Japan brand gave the world.

Meticulously crafted metal exterior
The bezel and case undergo meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing, precisely crafting them into robust, powerful forms. A hairline finish is applied to the bezel top and a mirror finish to the bevelled edges to maximise the textural appeal of the metal. Dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK.
