“CALM & MELLOW” Color Models of the PX-S1100

Tokyo, Japan — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today, the upcoming release of two new limited-edition color models of the PX-S1100 digital piano, part of its lifestyle-conscious Privia line, that strives to create products that are in harmony with your lifestyle. These new limited edition colors; the PX-S1100CB (Calm Blue) and PX-S1100MB (Mellow Beige) reflect recent trends in interior design.

The Privia digital piano line embodies this philosophy by making it easier than ever to experience the joy of having a piano as part of daily living. The new PX-S1100CB (Calm Blue) and PX-S1100MB (Mellow Beige) models have been designed to embody the theme of “CALM & MELLOW – moments of tranquility and ease”. They have been developed to help promote a new lifestyle concept: that of making the piano a part of a tranquil and mindful daily life.
The soft and muted color palettes have been adopted to seamlessly blend into the users’ living space to help encourage the daily habit of playing the piano without feeling out of place. This feeling then makes it easier to incorporate the habit of sitting down to play the piano, even if just briefly, into busy daily routines.
The PX-S1100CB (Calm Blue) features a gentle, light blue finish that evokes a sense of serenity, which is complemented by brown felt accents behind the keys reminiscent of wood-based interiors, which combines to create a soothing visual effect.
The PX-S1100MB (Mellow Beige) combines a warm, soft beige finish with green felt details which are inspired by indoor plants. These elements combine to offer a calm and inviting visual impression for the user.

■About the “CALM & MELLOW” Concept
The “CALM & MELLOW” concept was born from interviews conducted with Privia users around the world, many of whom described using their piano not just for practice, but as a source of relaxation and achieving a sense of peace. Comments like “I play after my kids go to sleep to unwind” or “Playing the piano in the evening helps me feel grounded” revealed how playing the piano had become a form of daily self-care; much like activities such as yoga or meditation.
These new color models aim to bring that experience to more people by encouraging playing the piano as a soothing, peaceful habit that can be part of everyday life. The refined color palette helps to create moments of tranquility and ease in the player’s mind, seamlessly blending into interior spaces while also producing moments of calm through music.

The PX-S1100 is one of the most popular models as part of Casio’s Privia line. It is known for its sleek and sophisticated design, which is the slimmest in the world*—at just 232mm. Despite its slim and lightweight body, it offers an impressively rich sound with an expressive dynamic range, from delicate nuances to powerful tones. This is all achieved while maintaining a natural, responsive touch. In addition, the piano can be used as a speaker by attaching the included Wireless MIDI & Audio Adaptor "WU-BT10" to the piano and connecting via Bluetooth®.
