Can I input and display engineering symbols?
Also, what is the difference between engineering symbols and the [ENG] key?
The ClassWiz models below support input and display of engineering symbols.
fx-991EX, fx-570EX, fx-991CN X, fx-570AR X, fx-991AR X
・ Example: To input 500k
Operation:
1. [5][0][0]
2. Press [OPTN] [3] (Engineer symbol).
3. [6](k)
To enable engineering notation for calculation result display, select "On" for the "Display Engineer Symbol" setting on the SETUP screen.
This will cause the symbol “E” to appear on the display.
Operation:
1. Press [SHIFT] [MENU] （SETUP) [4] (Engineer Symbol).
2. Press [1] and then select "On" for the "Display Engineer Symbol" setting.
The [ENG] key adjusts the exponent of a calculation result by a power of 10^3.
