MRG-B2000RG-3A

My GShock

Introducing a stunning timepiece from the MR-G line, the pinnacle of the G-SHOCK brand. Immerse yourself in the strength and beauty at the heart of Japanese craftsmanship with the meticulous attention to construction, function, materials, and finishes that is the hallmark of MR-G. The MRG-B2000RG is inspired by the traditional Japanese color of kurogane-iro, the deep shade of blue-green that iron takes on when heated to make traditional Japanese armor and helmets. A deep-layer hardening process and green diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating applied to the titanium exterior are used to capture this subtle hue. The MRG-B2000RG features a bezel made of recrystallized titanium with a distinctive crystalline pattern that evokes the nie crystals visible in the temper pattern of Japanese swords, and the bezel and titanium case are treated with a green DLC coating. The timepiece is seated in a durable and flexible fluoro rubber band adorned with a geometric bishamon kikko tortoiseshell pattern — the time-honored symbol of strength that appears on the warrior-deity Bishamonten’s armor and helmet. The dial’s outer edge is cut to evoke the look of a Japanese folding fan or screen, showcasing a simple, yet sophisticated texture. The indexes, designed to echo the gentle curvature of Japanese swords, feature a grind-mark finish that offers the beautiful edging and curves that only Yamagata Casio’s nano-processing technology can produce. Yet function won’t be outdone by style in these one-of-a-kind timepieces, with radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth® to delight even the most discerning owner. The exclusive MR-G module even has a gold-plated retainer plate to reduce electrical resistance. As if this weren’t enough, Sallaz polishing, double-hardening, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensure that every detail of this timepiece exudes power and excellence. Step up to the MR-G, the embodiment of the strength, beauty, and precision that come to life when Japanese technology meets Japanese aesthetics.

Kurogane-iro: A color expressing the regal sensibilities of the warrior

Kurogane-iro (literally “iron color”) is a rich, dark blue-green hue that iron takes on when heated. Revered as a traditional Japanese hue imbued with refined elegance, this distinctive tone is brought to life on the titanium exterior components using a meticulous process combining deep-layer hardening and a green DLC coating. This finish not only enhances the material’s strength but also achieves a profound depth of color, embodying the essence of Japanese aesthetic sensibilities. The result is a bold yet understated presence that captures the MR-G spirit — an unwavering pursuit of both strength and beauty.

Dial design restating a traditional Japanese motif

The dial’s base surface features a tortoiseshell pattern, a traditional symbol of strength and good fortune, rendered in deep shade of green verging on black. A motif reminiscent of folding fans or screens adorns the perimeter. The indexes are designed to evoke the gentle curvature of Japanese swords, leveraging the fine processing technologies of Yamagata Casio to achieve the sharp-edged forms and grind-mark finish.
