Get out into the great outdoors with new PRO TREK timepieces featuring solar-powered radio-controlled precision. The PRO TREK line of authentic outdoor gear for nature lovers now includes the PRW-6900YL timepieces of solid structural and functional beauty inspired by survival tools. In a rough and rugged outdoor style, these timepieces feature a metal bezel with sharply tapered edges reminiscent of a wood axe. At the 10 o’clock position, the inset dial indicator hand recalls the blade of a camping knife, and the second hand features the orange gradation of campfire flames. The base of the dial has a textured cast iron-like surface evoking a Dutch oven, bringing together a design that epitomizes all there is to love about bushcraft. The case and resin case back are made with bio-based resin in a watch that incorporates materials expected to help reduce environmental impact. The flame-retardant leather band of the PRW-6900YL holds up even when hit by flying sparks.

Solid functional beauty: Forged polygonal bezel structure

Stainless steel is used to craft the bezel with a forged form featuring sharply tapered edges. Each surface is individually polished in a hairline or mirror finish and then ion plated to a beautiful gleam. The case design combines powerful structural beauty and refined functional beauty inspired by bushcraft and other extreme outdoor lifestyles.

FEATURE 2

Dial design inspired by survival tools

The base of the dial features a cast iron-like surface reminiscent of a Dutch oven, achieved by print using matte and clear toners. The index marks are ground and then textured with a vapour deposition treatment for a metallic look, while the mode indicator hand in the 9 o’clock inset dial is designed to evoke a camping knife. The hour, minute, and second hands feature a color scheme reminiscent of campfire flames.

Eco-friendly biomass plastics

The major resin components, including the case, case back, and band, are all made with the eco-friendly green material known as biomass plastics. Using renewable organic resources such as castor oil plants and corn helps reduce the ecological footprint of this watch.
