Top European Streetwear Brand Teams Up With G-SHOCK on Custom Designs
DOVER, NJ, OCTOBER 25, 2017 -Today, Casio G-SHOCK unveils two new limited edition watches in collaboration with French streetwear brand Pigalle. Inspired by recent sporty collections, the two new models combine Pigalle founder Stéphane Ashpool’s renowned aesthetics with G-SHOCK’s signature toughness for a new take on the DW5600 case design. The collaboration watches are available in two colorways and a limited quantity of 1800 pieces total.
The DW5600PGW-7 offers a sleek white band with hints of pink on the face and buckle, while the DW5600PGB-1 features a black band with hints of silver. Both watches feature Pigalle branding on the face and band as well as the signature Pigalle box logo engraved on the back. The logo is also visible in the face’s background when illuminated.
Casio’s collaboration with Pigalle is a natural fit as both brands value creativity and innovation. The project originally began when Stéphane Ashpool brought a group of 15 young designers to the CASIO headquarters in Japan to learn about G-SHOCK’s creator, Mr. Ibe. Now, G-SHOCK and Pigalle have teamed up to create a watch that blends cutting edge technology with Stéphane Ashpool’s unique high fashion and urban influence.
Each limited edition model comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of shock resistance and 200M water resistance, as well as an EL backlight, flash alert, multi-function alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, date display and a full auto calendar -- all in a 42.8mm case.
The limited edition DW5600PGW-7 and DW5600PGB-1 will retail for $140 and will be available for purchase beginning in November 2017 at select Macy’s, select fashion apparel ,shopcasio.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho Store.
