Policy on Idea Proposal
Under the corporate creed of "Creativity and Contribution," CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. and its affiliated companies (collectively referred to as "CASIO") are committed to contributing to society by offering groundbreaking products. In order to achieve the said commitment, CASIO engages in research and development of unique products, technologies, and business models, etc. (collectively “CASIO’s Technology”).
Although customers may submit their ideas, concepts, suggestions, inquiries, or other proposals to CASIO regarding products, technologies, designs, business models, promotions, advertising, and other business activities (collectively referred to as a "Proposal"), such Proposal may coincidentally resemble or be similar (in whole or in part) to existing CASIO technologies. In such a case, unexpected problems or disputes may arise between CASIO and customers. Thus, CASIO would like any customer to refrain from submitting any Proposal to CASIO in order to avoid such troubles or controversies. Despite the foregoing CASIO’s policy, if any customer submits any Proposal to CASIO, such customer is deemed to have acknowledged and agreed that:
- CASIO is not obliged to treat the proposal as confidential
- CASIO shall not be required to retain or return any letters, artwork, samples, or other materials in any form submitted to CASIO with the proposal;
- CASIO is not obliged to review, evaluate or accept the proposal; and
- CASIO is not obliged to compensate the customer for the proposal and shall not be liable or responsible to the customer.
