3. Recipients and categories of recipients to whom We transfer Personal Data

CASIO will transfer your Personal Data for the respective purposes and limited to the extent necessary to the recipients and categories of recipients listed below:

(a) Within the CASIO Group: We share your Personal Data with other CASIO Group entities.

(b) Service providers (internal and external): We use third-party, as well as internal service providers, to provide services and products on Our behalf and will share your Personal Data with them for the provision of the services and products.

We share your Personal Data with service providers listed in Appendix 2 "Service Providers" annexed to this Privacy Notice.

(c) Governmental authorities, courts, external advisors, and similar third parties that are public bodies as required or permitted by applicable law.

Within CASIO and the service providers any access to your Personal Data in relation to your use of the Website is restricted to those individuals who have a 'need to know' in order to fulfill their job responsibilities

4. Cross-border data transfers

Some of the recipients of your Personal Data are located or have relevant operations outside of the UK and the EEA (namely, Japan and the USA), where the data protection laws may provide a different level of protection compared to the laws in your jurisdiction. We will take all necessary measures to ensure that transfers out of the UK and the EEA are adequately protected as required by applicable data protection law.

By way of entering into appropriate data transfer agreements based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914/EU) as referred to in Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR, together with the appropriate addendum issued by the ICO for UK data processing, or by other adequate means, which are accessible upon request under the contact details provided in section 8 below, We have established that all recipients located outside the UK and the EEA will provide an adequate level of protection for the Personal Data and that appropriate technical and organizational security measures are in place to protect Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss or alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, and against all other unlawful forms of processing. Any onward transfer (including to Our affiliates outside the UK and the EEA) is subject to appropriate onward transfer requirements as required by applicable law.

5. Storage period

Your Personal Data are stored by CASIO and/or Our service providers, strictly to the extent necessary for the performance of Our obligations to you respectively the performance of the service providers' obligations to Us and strictly for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which the Personal Data are processed, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

However, We and/or Our service providers need to keep your Personal Data to comply with legal or regulatory obligations to which CASIO and/or Our service providers are subject. Further, if We need to retain your Personal Data for a longer period of time for establishing, exercising, or defending legal rights, We retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to take necessary actions. To the extent that specification is possible, please find detailed information in Appendix 1 "Personal Data" annexed to this Privacy Notice.

6. Your rights

If you have declared your consent to any Personal Data processing activities, you can withdraw this consent at any time. Such a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the consent withdrawal.

Under the conditions set out under applicable data protection law (e.g., the UK GDPR), you may have the following rights, which you may exercise by contacting Us as stated in section 8 below:

(a) Right of access: You have the right to obtain confirmation from Us as to whether or not Personal Data concerning you is processed, and, where that is the case, to request access to the Personal Data.

You also have the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data undergoing processing. For further copies requested by you, We may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs.

(b) Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain rectification of inaccurate Personal Data concerning you from Us. Depending on the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete Personal Data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.

In this case your Personal Data will no longer be processed for such purposes by Us.

(g) Right to lodge a complaint: In addition to the rights set out above, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

7. Personal Data required to enter into a contract

You only have to provide Personal Data that is required for Us to establish and implement a business relationship with you, or that We are legally obligated to collect. Such Personal Data are marked as mandatory in the respective forms on Our Website. Without such Personal Data, We cannot conclude the requested contract, or – should you remove such Personal Data at a later stage – We will no longer be able to execute an existing contract and may have to terminate it.

Product servicing and repairs You are able to obtain services for your CASIO products from Us and CASIO use your Personal Data to provide you product support such as how to use Our products, and to support maintenance or handle repairs. Please note that Our employees or employees of Our service partners may have access to the data stored on your device within the scope of performing the supplied services. Personal Data stored on the products you send in will not be processed by CASIO or Our service partners.	In particular, the following Personal Data are processed for this purpose: • Last name, first name; • Personal contact information (email address, phone number); • Home address; • Country of product use; • Model name; and • Inquiry/message.	Legitimate interests (i.e., to support Our customers who need maintenance of CASIO products they purchased) (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or, depending on the individual activity, performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or to comply with a legal obligation (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).	With regard to the provision of product servicing and repairs, the Personal Data are stored for up to six months after the completion of service so that We can better support you with challenges that arise again in a shorter time interval. If the service or repair is related to the product warranty, we will store the Personal Data until the warranty expires.
Carrying out surveys and monitoring to improve products and services CASIO uses your Personal Data to carry out surveys or monitoring, for example, contacting you by email, to better understand your experience with Our products or services, or to better understand your preferences in order to improve Our products and services based on your opinions. On the Website, you have the opportunity to subscribe to a free newsletter. By providing your consent, you agree to CASIO contacting you by email about CASIO products, sweepstakes and special offers.

We would like to point out that We evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter such as opening e-mail, clicking the link on the e-mail etc. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called tracking pixels. The information about your user behavior will be deleted after 6 months of data collection. You can cancel the newsletter subscription at any time by withdrawing your consent.

If you fail to confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information is blocked and automatically erased after one month unless We and/or Our service providers need to keep your information (i) to comply with legal or regulatory obligations to which CASIO and/or Our service providers are subject; and/or (ii) with regard to a judicial action.
