What is the “MofLife” app?

The dedicated app "MofLife" lets you get to know Moflin's emotions and view Journal (interaction records with Moflin) on your smartphone. Is MofLife a paid app?

MofLife is a free smartphone app that you can download and use at no charge. Can I use MofLife offline?

MofLife cannot be used offline. An internet connection is required to use MofLife.

Do I need to register a CASIO ID to use MofLife?

To provide various services, it is necessary to link your Moflin with a CASIO ID. Therefore, you cannot use MofLife without registering a CASIO ID.

Where can I check Moflin’s battery level?

You can check Moflin’s battery level by looking at the battery icon on the home screen of the MofLife app. The battery icon may not display accurately depending on the environment around Moflin or the condition of the battery. Note: When the battery level is low, your Moflin will shiver and just make crying sounds. Put your Moflin in the Moflin Bed to recharge. What do the battery icons mean?

The meanings of the battery icons displayed on the home screen of the “MofLife” app are as follows: Icons Meaning Normal Battery level is low. Some Moflin behaviors may be limited. Charging Charging complete Charging is temporarily paused. Please check the LED on the Moflin Bed. Moflin is not registered or not connected.

What does the Journal graph show?

The graph shows how Moflin’s emotions change throughout the day. When Moflin is stroked or experiences something happy, the graph goes up; when something sad or worrying happens, the graph goes down.

What do the icons on the interaction record graph mean?

Icons appear at points where Moflin’s emotions have changed significantly. Icons Meaning I was feeling excited and joyful. (Joy) I felt very safe and happy. (Happiness) I was calm and relaxed. (Calmness) I was thrilled and excited. (Excitement)

How can I check the software version of Moflin or MofLife?

MofLife version: Tap [About this app] in the menu (≡) of the “MofLife” app to display the version of MofLife. Moflin version: On the home screen of the “MofLife” app, go to [Moflin settings] > [Updating your Moflin] to see the version of your Moflin.

I am changing my smartphone.Can I view past Journal (interaction records with Moflin) on my new device?

MofLife data is stored in the cloud, allowing you to access the same records even if you switch smartphones. After changing devices, please download the MofLife app, log in with your existing CASIO ID, and then register your Moflin again. *For details on how to register (pair) your Moflin with MofLife, please check here.

Are there any precautions when giving my Moflin to someone else?

If the [New records available] button appears on the Journal screen in MofLife, please tap the button and save all records before giving your Moflin away. If you transfer ownership without tapping the button, your Journal may appear on the new owner’s MofLife.

After saying goodbye to Moflin, can I still view my past Journal as memories?

Even after saying goodbye to Moflin, you can continue to view previously saved Journal (interaction records with Moflin). Select the Moflin you want to view from the “My Moflins” screen and check the Journal. *If you delete the Moflin from the “My Moflins” screen, you will need to re-register (pair) the Moflin with MofLife to view those records.

What happens if I don’t use MofLife or retrieve Journal a long time?

Moflin can store about 30 days worth of Journal (interaction records with Moflin). If this period is exceeded, older records will be deleted in order. By tapping [New records available] on the Journal screen in MofLife, you can upload (save) the records from your Moflin to the cloud. Uploaded data will not be deleted without your action. If you do not tap [New records available] for about 30 days or more, older records inside Moflin will be deleted and cannot be saved to the cloud. To prevent this, we recommend regularly tapping [New records available] to upload your records to the cloud. *For how to upload records (Journal), please check here.

“Moflin not found” is displayed. What should I do?

Please check the following and try connecting again: Moflin’s power may be off. Stroke or hug Moflin to see if it is moving. If not, charge and turn it on. Bluetooth on your smartphone may be off. Turn on Bluetooth in your settings. Some phones require enabling Bluetooth for each app. Location or nearby device permissions may be off. Enable these permissions in your phone’s settings. Some phones require this for each app. Moflin may be paired with another smartphone. Moflin can only be paired with one smartphone at a time. Turn off Bluetooth or close the “MofLife” app on the other device before pairing. Registering with a new smartphone will unpair the previous one. There may be poor signal conditions. Try changing your location. Someone else may have registered (paired) with Moflin, or pairing was reset during Clinic (Repairs). If so, follow the steps provided here. If the problem persists, try the following two steps: Restart MofLife (close the app and reopen it).* Restart Moflin (turn off and on). *For how to close apps, refer to your smartphone’s User Guide.

What OS and environment are recommended for MofLife?

Supported OS: MofLife is recommended for use with the following OS versions. Operation is not guaranteed on other OS versions.
