Kazuhito Komatsu
Representative of Komatsu Cutting Factory. Their representative work is the "Hanaju'', which is made by cutting real pearls using traditional diamond polishing techniques. Became the first Japanese person to win first place in the American gem cutting contest "The 2009 Gemmys." Received the Prime Minister's Award at the 3rd Manufacturing Japan Grand Prize. He is one of the Japanese craftsmen who is highly regarded around the world.

Sapphire crystal bezel cut by a gemstone polisher
The sapphire crystal is hand-cut by a jewel polisher to create a bezel that reflects light intricately like the sparkle of the sea. The cut and design were personally supervised by Kazuhito Komatsu, a Japanese craftsman who heads one of the world's leading workshops. The random yet harmonious cut surfaces are truly a work of art, backed by experience and sensibility. Due to the laborious and time-consuming process, only a few pieces are produced each day, and each one shines as a one-of-a-kind item.
[Processing process]
24 facet cuts are used on the thick sapphire crystal. After being cut by a gemstone polisher, a fine hairline-like pattern is engraved using laser processing, resulting in a finish that reflects light intricately. Furthermore, the color is enhanced by gradation vapor deposition and sputtering processing that changes from light blue to blue.

Frameless case that highlights the beauty of sapphire crystal
The outer frame of the bezel has been removed from the titanium case, allowing the sapphire crystal bezel to stand out all the way to the sides. The exterior is finished to take full advantage of the decorative and scratch-resistant properties of sapphire crystal.

Recrystallized textured dial that expresses the sparkle of the sea
The mold used to form the dial uses recrystallized titanium, which has been heat-treated to create a crystal pattern on its surface. Using advanced mold transfer technology, the fine texture of the mold has been reproduced on the dial. Furthermore, it is colored with a gradation color that changes from light blue to blue using a vapor deposition process. The accent color of pink gold is applied everywhere to express the sparkle of the sea where the light of the city shines.

DLC coating + Zaratsu polishing
The case and band are coated with DLC coating to increase wear resistance, giving it a fearless black appearance. The mirror surface is finished with Zaratsu polishing to create a beautiful, distortion-free surface.
