Solid design inspired by iconic Yosemite rock face
Yosemite’s iconic rock formation is the very image of the steep rock faces that climbers revere. Its form is echoed in the sharp edges, multifaceted form, and corner slits, representing cracks in the rock face, of the stainless-steel bezel. Large metal components for the side buttons and crown give the timepiece a solid look and feel. The multilayered dial structure emphasizes a sense of depth, while large watch hands and raised indexes deliver enhanced readability. The indicator in the inset dial at the 9 o’clock position evokes the piton — a symbol of the evolution of climbing gear in the 1970s.
Dura Soft band (CNF-reinforced rubber) for wearable comfort as well as functional utility

This is the first Casio watch with a band reinforced with CNF, a functional bio-based material turning heads around the world. CNF kneaded into rubber resin creates a band that retains its lightweight flexibility, while adding the strength and durability to withstand environmental factors that adventurers need when heading outdoors. The band is designed with just the right thickness to ensure a great fit.
Cellulose nanofiber (CNF)
A bio-based material made from wood-derived fibers refined to the nanometer level. In addition to high tensile strength and the ability to withstand hydrolysis and low and high temperatures, this environmentally responsible material can be processed with either material or thermal recycling.

The watch band is made with CORDURA® re/cor™, a lightweight, highly durable fabric. The band is treated with flame retardant to hold up even when hit by sparks from cooking or campfires, resisting burn marks. The CORDURA®re/cor™ fabric is made from reclaimed post-industrial waste materials and is expected to help reduce environmental impact.

Flame-retardant case for peace of mind by the fire
The center case is made from flame-retardant resin produced from bio-based resin. With this certified V-0 grade UL94 material, flames self-extinguish when the ignition source is removed, preventing them from continuing to burn. A safety precaution to free you from worry when sparks are flying from the cook stove or the campfire.
V-0 grade UL94 material
A standard for flame retardancy in plastic materials set by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a U.S.-based product safety certification organization. The flame-retardant resin used for this watch meets the V-0 certification standards awarded to materials with self-extinguishing properties that stop burning when the ignition source is removed.
Location Indicator guides adventures out in the field
The watch is equipped with Location Indicator, a useful function for outdoor activities to help you locate where you are and where you’re headed. The indicator hand in the inset dial at the 3 o’clock position shows the direction of a point set on the app map,* and the LCD displays the distance from your current location. You can also save your current location on the map using the watch. This is useful for finding your way back when you descend a mountain or need to locate your parked car. Used in conjunction with the digital compass, which indicates north via the watch’s seconds hand, this feature delivers reliable guidance in any number of outdoor scenarios.
