Can I resize multiple table rows so they are the same height or columns so they are the same width?

(1) Click one the cells. This will cause the background color of the cell to change to yellow. (2) While holding down "Shift", specify the range of cells you want to resize. (3) Click the "Height" icon to make the cells the same height, or the "Width" icon to make them the same width.

Even though I printed with "Automatic label length" turned on with "Tape settings",some text is cut off when I perform merge printing.

When printing merge data that consists of long text strings, the text may not fit on the label and will run off the edge.With merge printing, all printed labels are the same length, text boxes and the label length should be sized to so they are large enough for the longest text string in the merge data. Also, selecting "Prioritize box size" for "Text box settings" will cause the printer to automatically reduces the size of text in the case of a long text string so it can fit.

How do I select or directly input the access point in the Client Mode?

(1) Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. (2) On the menu bar, click "Settings" and then select "Wireless LAN settings". (3) Select the printer you want to connect. (4) Click "Select connect device", select the access point or click "Enter the network name (SSID) manually". (5) Configure the settings of each item. Printer name : 1 to 31 characters, single-byte characters only. Channel : 1 to 13（Initial value 11） SSID : Shows the wireless LAN connection device. 1 to 32 single-byte ASCII characters. Space is not allowed as the first character. Encryption method : none,WPA/WPA2 Passphrase : 8 to 63 single-bye ASCII characters (6) Click "Next" to exit settings. (7) When a connection is established, the printer’s wireless LAN lamp lights green.

The "Access Denied (authentication_failed) " error message is displayed.

An Internet environment is required to use LABEL DESIGN MAKER. If your Internet environment uses a proxy server that requires a user name and password for verification, you will need to pre-configure verification settings. (1) Click "Create a new label". (2) On the menu bar, click "Settings" and then select "Authentication settings". (3) After inputting the verification user name and password, click the [OK] button. (4) Restart LABEL DESIGN MAKER.

LABEL DESIGN MAKER does not open when I double-click a saved file.

To start up LABEL DESIGN MAKER, select "Create a label from a saved label".

The label layout size (dotted line) and the label elements (tables, images, etc.) are misaligned when printed.

Is there anything to be aware of when printing in the Wi-Fi access point mode?

It can take as long as about one minute to establish a connection between LABEL DESIGN MAKER and PC Label. You will not be able to perform font selection or printing while a connection is being established.

When I try to print, an error screen appears and printing is not possible. What should I do?

When I add a frame to a label, it overlaps with the text.

A frame cannot be moved, so you will need to adjust the position of the text and other elements so they do not overlap with the frame. Or, when using a frame, turn off "Automatic label length" and adjust the label length manually.

Printed text seems to be blurry.

Selecting "Error Diffusion" for the monochrome conversion method can cause printed text to be blurry. For text, illustrations, and other simple printing, select "Simple binary". "Error Diffusion" is recommended when printing a label that has a photograph or other color image inserted. (1) Click the"Print/Print preview" button to display the Print Preview dialog box. (2) Click the "Properties" in the lower right corner to display the Print Settings dialog box. (3) Click the "Monochrome" tab and then select "Simple binary." (4) Click [OK].

I want to open multiple layout files for editing.

LABEL DESIGN MAKER does not support opening multiple files at the same time. If you want to open another file, first save the currently open file (if necessary) and then close it.

The following message is displayed: "Do you want the application "NativeApp.app" to acceept incoming network connections?"

This screen may appear when application firewall settings are configured to display a screen to allow incoming connections whenever LABEL DESIGN MAKER is started up. Perform the steps below. (1) On the Apple menu, select "System Preferences." (2) Click "Security" or "Security and Privacy". (3) Click the "Firewall" tab. (4) Click the "Key" in the lower left to unlock the panel. (5) Click "Firewall Options". (6) Specify "Allow incoming connections" for "NativeApp.app".

The "Printers not found" error message is displayed.

[Noise or some other problem may have caused wireless LAN communication to time out.] Use the printer's power key to turn power off and then back on again. Next, try establishing a wireless LAN connection again.

How do I connect with the Access Point Mode?

(1) On the printer, press Wireless LAN key to turn on wireless LAN. This causes the wireless LAN lamp to flash green. How do I change the text size?

Use select "Prioritize text size" for "Text box settings". You can specify the text size in the range of 3 points to 600 points.

I am having problems with re-positioning or re-sizing print elements.

On "Workspace settings", selecting the "Show grid" and "Snap to Grid" options will display gridlines and cause elements to snap to the grid when they are inserted into the label or repositioned. With this configuration, you may experience problems re-positioning or re-sizing elements if the "Spacing" value is too large.As a general rule, use of a "Spacing" value of 10 mm or less is recommended. ・ On the menu bar, click "Settings" and then select "Workspace settings".

Sometimes when I select a label element, it unexpectedly moves out of position.

[When "Free" is selected for the "Workspace settings" "Positioning" setting] When there is another element near the element you are selecting, re-positioning the selected element will cause a dotted orange line to appear along the edge of the nearby element to make it easier to align with it. At this time, the element you are moving will snap to the edge alignment of the nearby element. If there are multiple adjacent elements within the workspace, elements may move unexpectedly.Use "Align" and "Justify" as required to align elements. [When "Snap to Grid" is selected for the "Workspace Settings" "Positioning" setting] Elements snap to the grid when they are inserted into the label or repositioned.Selecting an element that is currently not positioned on a gridline will causes that element to snap to the grid. How do I connect using WPS in the Client Mode?

[Connect using the WPS button of the wireless LAN router/access point.] (1) On the printer, hold down the Wireless LAN key for at least three seconds. This puts the printer into simple connection standby, which is indicated by the wireless LAN lamp flashing green, in two quick flash bursts. (2) Within about the next two minutes, press the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button of the wireless LAN router/access point you are using. Wireless LAN will turn off if connection cannot be established within two minutes. (3) When a connection is established, the printer’s wireless LAN lamp lights green. [Connect using a PIN code.] (1) Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. (2) On the menu bar, click "Settings" and then select "Wireless LAN settings". (3) Select the printer you want to connect. (4) Select the wireless LAN router/access point connection method. Click "Connect by WPS button". (5) Click "WPS PIN code here". (6) Open the settings window for the wireless LAN router/access point and enter and set the PIN code below. (7) Within about the next two minutes, press the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button of the wireless LAN router/access point you are using. Wireless LAN will turn off if connection cannot be established within two minutes. (8) When a connection is established, the printer’s wireless LAN lamp lights green.

I am having problems with Timestamp operations.

When using a time stamp with the "Date and time of printing" setting turned on, do not insert a time stamp directly into a table cell. If you want to use a time stamp in a table, create the time stamp outside of the table, re-size the time stamp text and configure other settings as required, and then move the time stamp so it is on top of an empty table cell. ・ Click "Timestamp".

When converting a color image to monochrome, can dithering and gamma be adjusted?

Dithering and gamma can be adjusted. (1) Click the "Print/Print preview" button to display the Print Preview dialog box. (2) Click the "Properties" in the lower right corner to display the Print Settings dialog box. (3) Click the "Monochrome" tab. Select "Simple binary" or "Error Diffusion". You can drag the Gamma slider to adjust the density of the inserted image.

When printing an image, some areas that should be dark are white.

I selected "Fixed box height" for "Text box settings", but the setting changes to "Prioritize text size" when I add text to the label.

When the "Automatic label length" label setting is turned off, the "Tape settings" becomes "Prioritize text size". Turning on the "Automatic label length" label setting causes "Text box settings" to become "Fixed box height", and text to be inserted at the beginning of the text box and matched to the print area height.

What are the four types of operations that can be selected with "Text box settings"?
