Casio spent half a decade developing the designer alloy with Nippon Steel Corporation , one of the largest steel producers in the world. This special alloy is twice as hard as pure titanium, yet just as light and easy-on-the-skin. Titanium is notoriously difficult to process, but Casio has mastered the art by unveiling this extra-hard alloy to stand up to mirror finishing, achieving the first all-mirror-finish titanium G-SHOCK watch. The GMW-B5000TR-9 gold ion-plated case plays off the polychromatic band, buttons, and dial in red, blue, light and dark gray, plus more gold ion-plating, creating one striking eye-catcher of a watch.
