Made-in-Japan timepiece with a new interpretation of the traditional seigaiha pattern

Based on the A159, a long-selling Made-in-Japan watch produced at Yamagata Casio, the A159WEVJ features a new interpretation of the seigaiha pattern on the dial. This traditional Japanese motif of overlapping concentric arcs evokes the continuous, unbroken flow of ocean waves, symbolizing the wish for lasting good fortune and peaceful days. Japanese visual elements also appear on the case back and special packaging. The watch brings together careful manufacturing in Japan with a design reflecting Japanese aesthetic sensibilities.
