A collection of full-metal descendants of the first-ever G-SHOCK — introducing the GMW-B5000 with a black bezel highlighting their iconic form. The striking two-tone black-on-silver color scheme projects G-SHOCK toughness in a model sure to suit your personal style. The GMW-B5000BT pairs a mirror-finished bezel with sections of the watch glass finished in silver-colored vapor deposition, embodying G-SHOCK toughness with an added spark of sophistication. Crafted from stainless steel, the bezel undergoes meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing to achieve an exquisite finish of depth and dimension. To achieve the same original G-SHOCK shock-resistant structure in a full-metal timepiece, buffering components made of fine resin are inserted between the stainless-steel bezel and case. And dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the very first G-SHOCK resin band design. The stainless-steel case of the GMW-B5000BT features the same screw-lock construction as the original to ensure a tight seal. And the fact that the watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first ever G-SHOCK was made, brings the whole design full circle.

Striking black on silver projects G-SHOCK toughness: Monochrome design suited to a wide range of styles
This collection is based on the GMW-B5000, GM-B2100, and GMC-B2100 — watches that inherit the iconic form of the DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK. The top bezel, a defining feature of the design, is finished in black. Crafted from stainless steel, the bezel undergoes demanding processes of forging, cutting, and polishing to achieve a sharp, dimensional finish.
Full-metal shock-resistant structure: Staying true to origins and constantly innovating
Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the stainless-steel bezel and case. The shock-resistant structure maintained since the very first G-SHOCK is achieved in a timepiece with a metal exterior. Also, a three-pronged structure is employed for the connective part of the band to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. Only the case backs of the GMW-B5000BT and GM-B2100BT feature a screw-lock construction that ensures a tight seal.
