The watch features key components made with bio-based resin and a cloth band made of CASTLON®, treated with a flame retardant finish. CASTLON is a 100% plant-derived Nylon 11 fiber produced using castor oil plants. This carbon-neutral material not only helps reduce environmental impact, but is also stronger and lighter with better wear resistance, chemical resistance, and flexibility at low temperatures than the conventional Nylon 6. Evoking the styling of outdoor gear with a base tone of olive green, the watch features a lightweight cloth band made with CASTLON®, a nylon fiber bio-based material with a low environmental footprint. The band is treated with flame retardant to hold up even when hit by sparks from cooking or campfires, resisting burn marks.
Digital compass now even more readable with the duplex LCD
The dual-layer LCD allows compass graphics to be shown on the top layer, while the bottom layer offers a large display of the time and various measurements. The LCD has also been made slimmer to minimize bulk, even while being dual-layer.
