Terms and Conditions of Entry
Please read these Terms and Conditions of Entry carefully before entering the "CASIO Moflin Interview” Campaign (hereinafter referred to as "Campaign"), which is planned and conducted by CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Casio"). By submitting an entry for the Campaign, those who enter the Campaign (hereinafter referred to as "Entrant" or, collectively, "Entrants") shall be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry, including any cautions pertaining to Campaign.
<Participation in the Campaign>
Please read the summary stated in the Email from Casio regarding the Campaign, hereinafter referred to as "Campaign Post"), along with these Terms and Conditions of Entry, and enter in accordance with the Entry Procedure below.
【Entry Procedure】
(1) Please enter necessary information in the entry form on the next page during the Campaign period.
(2) Please read these Terms and Conditions of Entry and "Privacy Notice" before entering for the Campaign.
【Qualifications for entry】
Any person who has Casio’s robotic pet product, Moflin (“Moflin”) except those who fall under the following categories:
• Those who reside in a country, region or state where participation in the promotion or receipt of rewards, gifts or tender is prohibited by any laws applicable to your area of residence at the time of participation.
• Individuals or entities subject to U.S. export controls or sanctions
• Minors (under age 18)
• Casio's or Casio affiliated company's employees, contract employees, part-time employees, directors, or people related to the operation of the Campaign and people who have close relationship with them (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and life partners)

【Entry terms】
• Each Entrant may enter the Campaign only once during the Campaign period.
• Each entrant must possess a Moflin.
• Casio will not accept entries to the Campaign, or will invalidate entries after receipt of the entry, if the entry form is incomplete, if multiple entries by the same person are confirmed, if Entrants violate these Terms and Conditions of Entry, or if Casio deems that there has been fraudulent activity in connection with the entry.
• Casio will not be liable for any damages or losses Entrants may incur in connection with their participation in the Campaign, unless such damage is caused by gross negligence on Casio's part.
• Minors cannot enter the Campaign.
• Each Entrant must consent to being recorded during the interview, including your face and voice.
【Drawing and notification of selected Entrants】
• Only selected Entrants will be notified of the results of the drawing and information about the interview by Casio through the email address entered on the entry form. If Casio is unable to contact the selected Entrants due to an error or false information in the email address entered on the entry form, or if Casio is unable to provide the reward due to restrictions imposed by laws and regulations applicable to your area of residence, your right to win will be voided.
• Please note that Casio will not respond to inquiries regarding the drawing process.
• The reward for the Campaign may change due to revisions to laws and regulations, changes in economic conditions, changes in the content of the Campaign, restrictions etc., imposed by laws and regulations applicable to award selected Entrant's address or other situations that Casio deems necessary.
• If rewards to the selected Entrants are taxable, selected Entrants shall be responsible for any taxes thereon.
• The selected Entrants cannot transfer their rights to win to a third party, resell them or realize them into a monetary form.
• Casio may void the selected Entrant's rights to win if Casio finds that the selected Entrants has violated any of these Terms and Conditions of Entry after the results of the drawing is announced.
【Exemption and Disclaimer】
• Casio may change, suspend, or terminate the Campaign, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. In addition, Casio may change these Terms and Conditions of Entry without notice in the event of amendments to laws and regulations, changes in economic conditions, changes in the content of the Campaign, or other circumstances that Casio deems necessary, and Casio may take any other necessary measures to ensure the proper operation of the Campaign. In such cases, the amended Terms and Conditions of Entry shall take effect as of the date of publication of the amended Terms and Conditions of Entry.
【Governing Law and Jurisdiction】
• These Terms and Conditions of Entry shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive court of first instance for any disputes arising in connection with the Campaign or these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

Casio Computer Co. Ltd., a Japanese company with its registered office located at 6-2, Hon-machi 1-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 151-8543, Japan ("Casio", "we", "us" or "our"), takes the protection of personal data extremely seriously. This Privacy Notice ("Privacy Notice") describes the method through which we will process and protect information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("Personal Data") collected through the entry form and processed for the purposes of our "CASIO Moflin Interview" Campaign ("Campaign"). The entry form is provided on the website of third party service "Qualtrics", and the Personal Data will be collected by us through Qualtrics:https://www.qualtrics.com/privacy-statement/ .
1. Scope of applicability
This Privacy Notice applies exclusively to our processing of the Personal Data of persons participating in the Campaign ("Entrants") in relation to the Campaign.
This Privacy Notice does not apply to our processing of Personal Data of Entrants for the purposes of other campaigns, events, products, apps or services which we and our group companies provide. The processing of Personal Data for such other purposes is governed by other privacy policies.
Please read the following carefully to understand how we will process Entrants' Personal Data collected for the purposes of our Campaign..

3. Processing of Personal Data (categories of Personal Data)
Casio will collect and process the following Personal Data about Entrants, which Casio collects directly from the Entrant:
i) the Entrant's name
ii) the Entrant's email address
iii) the Entrant’s phone number
iv) the Entrant’s interview video recording, including facial image and voice recording
v) the Entrant’s demographic information, such as age, race/ethnicity, background and employment information
vi) the Entrant’s experience and preferences with MOFLIN and the MOFLIFE app
4. Cookie Policy
Casio will collect and process personal data collected automatically from your browser or device in accordance with Casio’s Privacy Policy.
5. De-Identified Data
"De-identified Data" means information that cannot reasonably be used to infer information about, or otherwise be linked to a particular data subject. Casio may de-identify and aggregate data for its business purposes, including but not limited to, to improve the products and features of its Services, to maintain the security and integrity of its systems, for analytics, and other legitimate business purposes. Where we process De-identified Data, we commit to maintain and use the information in de-identified form and not attempt to reidentify the information, except where permitted by law. We may disclose De-identified Data to third parties who commit themselves to maintaining these same standards for any business purpose.
6. Processing Purposes
Casio will process and use the Personal Data of Entrants for the following purposes:
① To manage the Campaign, including communication and interview with selected Entrants;
② To send rewards to the selected Entrants;
③ To respond to various inquiries from Entrants;
④ For testimonial, marketing, and promotional purposes;
⑤ To record interviews; and
⑥ For product testing and improvement purposes.
7. Legal Categories of Personal Data
California law requires us to tell you about the Personal Data we collect from you in a certain way – specifically, we must describe the “legal categories” of Personal Data that are listed in the law. To do this, we have provided California Privacy Chart at the end of this notice that shows you the legal category of Personal Data and the types of Personal Data in each category; the purpose for why we collect and use your Personal Data; and the categories of third parties with whom we share your Personal Data.
8. Legal basis for the processing of Personal Data
Privacy law requires that any processing of Personal Data must have a legal basis. Alternatively, we will process Entrants' Personal Data where the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We may also process Personal Data on the basis of any other legal ground, such as compliance with a legal obligation or a court order(Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or legitimate interest, in particular, to address any queries from Entrants or to detect and prevent any possible fraud (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Otherwise, we will process Entrants' Personal Data on the grounds of explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) of Entrants to the processing of their personal data..
Where the processing of an Entrant’s personal data is based on consent, withdrawal or revocation of a Entrant's consent shall not affect the lawfulness of any processing performed on the basis of explicit consent prior to such withdrawal or revocation. Where our processing of an Entrant’s personal data is not based on consent, following such withdrawal or revocation, that Entrant's Personal Data may still be processed if there is another legal basis for such processing as described above.

9. Data transfers and recipients and legal justification for such transfers
We will not disclose or transfer Entrants' Personal Data to any third parties except in the following cases:
① When we have received the consent of the Entrant in advance.
② When third-party service providers will perform certain provisions of the contract on our behalf, in which case the Personal Data transferred will be limited to the extent necessary for the performance under such contractual provisions.
Depending on the purpose of the processing for which we use each service provider, we share certain of Entrants’ Personal Data (as necessary) with the following service providers:
• Qualtrics(US): Provision of the entry form platform.
•ASMARQ Co., Ltd.(Japan):Contacting Entrants (via email or phone) for scheduling coordination and sending rewards.
*Use of Sub‑processors by our processors:
Our processors may engage third‑party service providers acting as sub‑processors to perform specific operational tasks, such as scheduling support or reward fulfilment. These sub‑processors act only under the direction and supervision of our processors and do not directly receive Personal Data from Casio.
③ When we share information within Casio Group entities for our internal business purposes, such as providing membership services, analyzing customer data and website user behavior, carrying out marketing activities, and supporting shared services, such as analytics, customer relationship tools, and data management across Casio Group entities.
④ When there is a request for disclosure of information from a judicial, administrative, or similar organization in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and we transfer the data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
We have implemented appropriate safeguards to ensure that the transfer of Entrants' Personal Data from the European Union (EU) or EEA to a third country outside of the EU or EEA in which the Personal Data will be processed, including in the event that our third party service provider is located in such third country, complies with all applicable data protection requirements (i.e., adequacy decisions, binding corporate rules or standard contractual clauses including supplementary measures). Upon a Entrant's request, we will provide that Entrant with a copy of these appropriate safeguards, provided that we process or have processed that Entrant's Personal Data in third countries. If there is no sufficient legal basis for a data transfer from the EU or EEA to a third country, we may transfer the Personal Data on the basis of voluntary consent obtained from the Entrants to transfer in that individual case for a specific purpose.
We do not sell any Entrant’s Personal Data, including information belonging to children under the age of 16, nor do we share that Personal Data with third parties for those parties’ commercial use.
10. Implementation of security measurements
Entrants' Personal Data will be stored by us and/or our service providers which are located or have relevant operations outside of the EEA (namely, Japan and US). In order to ensure adequate security and to properly manage Entrants' Personal Data, we have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures in accordance with our prescribed privacy policy (https://world.casio.com/privacy/), including the establishment of Personal Data protection rules, conducting trainings for our employees and other appropriate organizational, physical and technical security measures. Any onward transfer is subject to appropriate onward transfer requirements as required by applicable law. For more details of the security measures we take, please contact us using the contact information in section 2.
11. Storage period
We will store Entrants' Personal Data in accordance with the GDPR and applicable data protection laws, and only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes for which the Personal Data was processed. When we no longer have a need to process the Personal Data, such Personal Data will be erased from our systems and/or records and if necessary steps will be taken to anonymize the Personal Data so that the data subject can no longer be identified from the Personal Data.Entrants' Personal Data will be erased promptly when it is no longer necessary to achieve the purposes of processing. However, we will keep Entrants' information where it is necessary: (i) to comply with legal or regulatory obligations to which we are subject; and/or (ii) with regard to a judicial action.
12. Entrants' Rights
Under applicable data protection laws (e.g., the GDPR), Entrants may have the following rights:
(i) the right of access[*1];
(ii) the right to obtain a copy of their own Personal Data undergoing processing[*2];
(iii) the right to rectification[*3];
(iv) the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")[*4];
(v) the right to restriction of processing[*5];
(vi) the right to data portability[*6];
(vii) the right to object[*7];
(viii) the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority[*8]; and
(ix) the right to appeal[*9].
In addition,where we process Personal Data based on an Entrant’s consent , any consent to Personal Data processing activities given by a Entrant may be withdrawn by the Entrant at any time. Such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing performed prior to such withdrawal of consent.
How to Make a Request: Entrants can exercise their rights by contacting us at the contact address described in paragraph 2. To make a request, an Entrant must provide their full name, email address, and the type of request they would like to make.
Verifying Your Identity: In order for us to look into your request, we may first need to verify your identity, to make sure you are the person about whom the request is made, or that you are authorized by that person to make the request. For example, we may ask you to confirm your full name and email address.
Appealing a Denied Request: If we deny all or part of your privacy request, you may have a right to appeal that decision. If you would like to make an appeal, please contact us using the methods in section 2, and include your name, email address, the type of request you made, and the reason for requesting an appeal.
Requests by Authorized Agents: You may have the right to designate someone else make privacy requests for you under the data protection laws. Authorized agents must:
· Provide us with valid written authorization, that the third party agent has the authority to act on behalf of the individual whom they are making the request, which must include the agent’s name, email address, and phone number,
· You must follow the instructions above to verify your own identity, and
· The authorized agent must follow the instructions provided in this section to make a request.
As permitted by California privacy law, any request you submit to us is subject to an identification and verification process, and confirmation of the agent’s authority, which may include attestation under penalty of perjury. Absent a power of attorney, we will also require the consumer to verify their own identity. We may verify identity based on matching information you provided with data we have maintained on you in our systems. This data could include, but is not limited to, email address, mailing address, or phone number. We reserve the right to verify the validity of any third party request to exercise privacy rights on behalf of our customers to the fullest extent permitted under applicable data protection law.
*1: Entrants have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not Personal Data concerning the Entrant is being processed, and, where that is the case, to request access to the Personal Data. The information that may be accessed includes – inter alia – the purposes of the processing, the categories of Personal Data concerned, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the Personal Data have been or will be disclosed. However, this is not an absolute right and the interests of other individuals may restrict the Entrant's right of access.
*2: For further copies requested by Entrants, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs.
*3: Entrants have the right to correct or update any Personal Data about them that is inaccurate or incomplete.
*4: Under certain circumstances, Entrants have the right to request from us the erasure of Personal Data concerning the Entrant and we may be obliged to erase such Personal Data.
*5: Under certain circumstances, Entrants have the right to request that we restrict the processing of their Personal Data. In such a case, the relevant data will be marked and will only be processed by us for certain limited purposes.
*6: Under certain circumstances, a Entrant has the right to receive, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, the Personal Data concerning that Entrant which they provided to us, and the right to transmit such data to another entity and we will not interfere.
*7 Where we are processing a Entrant's Personal Data on the grounds of legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party, Entrants have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to his or her particular situation. This applies particularly where the Entrant is a child. We will stop processing the Entrant's data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds on which to continue the processing which overrides the Entrant's interests, rights and freedoms or if it is for the purpose of the establishment, issuing or defense of legal claims.
*8 Entrants can lodge a complaint with the data protection regulation if Entrants think that we have infringed upon any of their rights.
*9 Entrants may have the right to appeal if we decline to take action regarding a request to exercise a privacy right.
13. Notice of Financial Incentive
We may offer financial incentives, such as discounts, promotional coupons and gift cards (“Incentives”), to individuals who participate in user interviews. You may opt-in to participate in an Incentive by providing the Personal Data requested, such as your name and email address and other commercial information. We will use your Personal Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy . You may withdraw from participation in an Incentive, or from our subsequent use of Personal Data collected in connection with an Incentive, at any time by contacting us as described in section 2. If you withdraw, you will no longer be eligible to receive the applicable Incentive. In some cases, we may provide additional terms and conditions applicable to a particular Incentive, which we will make available to you at the time you sign up for the Incentive. We have made a good faith determination that the value of the Personal Data you provide is reasonably related to the value of the Incentive, taking into account the costs and expenses associated with offering the Incentive.
14. Personal Data required to enter into a contract
Please note that provision of Personal Data is voluntary. Whether or not Entrants have provided Personal Data will not be considered during the Campaign's selection process.
Certain Personal Data, marked as mandatory in the Campaign participation forms, must be provided by a Entrant in order to take part in the Campaign. Such Personal Data is information required for us to establish and implement a business relationship with you or information which are legally obligated to collect. Without this Personal Data, we cannot execute the requested contract, and – should the Entrant remove such Personal Data at a later stage – we will no longer be able to continue the existing contract and may be obliged to terminate it. With regard to the Campaign, we can provide our services and/or conclude a contract only if a Entrant provides us with email address and phone number.
Personal Data that is not marked as mandatory in the Campaign participation forms do not have to be provided.
15. Changes to the Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice may require an update from time to time – e.g., due to the implementation of new technologies or the introduction of new services or features. We reserve the right to change or supplement this Privacy Notice at any time. We will publish the changes on our website (https://www.casio.com/jp/casio-id/) and/or inform you of such changes via email at your registered email address.
